So my DP has had the results of his first SA and I don't really understand the results. He didn't ask anywhere near the amount of questions that I would have.

This motility was normal. Count = 30mil and morphology = 2%.

How bad a result is this? I believe the doctors have said that if the result is the same on SA 2 - we will be put forward for fertility treatment.

Also does this mean that I will have to have tests before any potential treatment?

Thank you in advance, feeling rather anxious.

Zoefitness ,
My Doctor said that there's no way it was my DH, all he kept saying was it only takes one good sperm so it probably was me, However now they've not found anything wrong with me, we have been diagnosed with MFI. I think it's what annoyed me more, people don't think before they speak.
I know I'm not a Dr but that sounds like a super shit thing to say and completely ridiculous! My tubes are open I had a HSG but I don't think that would pick up Endo though so probably good move to have the lap & dye as you sound like me, just feel like something must be wrong and at least you will know for sure.
I have period pains etc nearly straight away after ovulation, so if I have no symptoms I reckon I will start doing cartwheels ha ha.

Oh I know Friends. The latest I have experienced is a convo I had at the weekend with somebody and I was talking about how me and DP will probably have IVF soon and how I'm being realistic about it and that I don't think it will work first time and they agreed with me 'yeh no, it won't work first time.' Oh thanks for the support! Oh and you know how??????

Have you had a lap? and how do they check your tubes?

Also, I am having my blood retaken and day 21 falls on a Sunday for me so obviously the surgery won't be open then..will this make much of a difference?

Hi Zoe,
Hope your well, people are so insensitive, I think this is one of the reasons we've kept it to ourselves , not forgetting the just relax and it will happen crap comments.
I've not had a lap & dye, I had a HSG which basically puts dye through the tubes and uterus, if the dye spills out then basically the tubes are open. Lap and dye is basically the gold standard test because from what i can gather it's the only one that can check for endo and it can be treated there and then. It also makes you more fertile for a few month after.
Progesterone levels can be checked between day 21 - 23 so i would book in for the Monday rather then the Friday, your hormones might not be high enough to be detected if you go on cycle day 19 .
