Don't worry lam1 we all need to vent on here sometimes as our dps just don't seem to get it! Shock U will get there soonSmile

LondonSuperTrooper · 24/07/2014 22:44

Also she says that the tablets won't be much use to me and strongly urged to go for IVF ASAP. She kept repeating that time is NOT on my side. I'm going to an open evening next month to an IVF clinic close to where I live. It's going to cost mega bucks but my DH said that going abroad is not an option.

ridgway28 · 25/07/2014 09:06

london can u nit got ivf on nhs. amazing news about the tablets told you she would see how amazing u done.

this is what its about venting u vent away alway here. my dh is the same but he is that layed back hes lying down!!!!

cd3 bleeding has gone to black really messed up this cycle grrAngry Angry Angry Angry

AnnieHoo · 25/07/2014 11:11

Good to hear you have a reasonable consultant London! Well done on the weightloss. That's exactly what I need to get my ass into gear and get down to a BMI of 30 ASAP!

I'm at a decision point for IVF too. I seem to be trapped in the thinking cycle of "but I might be pregnant this month..." It's been 2 years of that and I'm 41. Just got to make the phonecall and go for it.

LondonSuperTrooper · 25/07/2014 18:58

Ridgway - I'm not entitled to IVF as I already have a 7 year old DS. Our DHs sound very similar :(

Annie - due to my DH I'm in exactly the same position as you. I remember going to my initial IVF consultation in November 2012! DH was convinced that there wasn't anything wrong with me & that they just want to rip us off. He's come round to the idea of IVF but only wants to do one cycle only. I've tried to persuade him to go overseas as it's much cheaper and we can almost get 2 cycles for the same price as the uk cycle. But no, he says he can't get the time off from work!!!

StoneBaby · 25/07/2014 20:39

I've decided we won't do ivf but I've got a DS already. DH convinced me to carry on the gonal-f until the treatment is over I don't dare asking the fc how many months gonal-f gets prescribed for

LondonSuperTrooper · 25/07/2014 20:59

Stone - why do you have the gonal injections?

LondonSuperTrooper · 25/07/2014 21:00

And I really really want another DC and a sibling for DS. I guess that I'm getting desperate. I'm going to be 41 in November!

AnnieHoo · 25/07/2014 21:25

I bit the bullet today and phoned the IVF clinic telling them I want to start treatment. The nurse said I just have to ring them when AF arrives and arrange my catheter test in early Aug. Treatment will be in Sept. We can't keep losing months as they are so precious now.

I know that there is still the risk of mc with IVF but I'm hoping that I can get 2 eggs transferred and at least one will be good.

I have never been offered gonal f so this is the only choice for me after Clomid.

StoneBaby · 25/07/2014 22:02

london over here you get gonal-f treatment if the clomid did not work.

AnnieHoo · 25/07/2014 23:12

Kurama I'm sorry to say it but that looks like a cruel evap line to me. The line is too far to the left...

You're still not out though - it may just take a few days longer. FX

kurama · 25/07/2014 23:36

I've never seen evap on any test before no matter how long I left it

LondonSuperTrooper · 26/07/2014 07:56

Annie- well done on making the decision in IVF. Where will you have it done?

Kurama - really sorry but I too think it's an evaporation line.... Only because all of my test had the control line & results line very close to each (well that's how it looked in the instruction manuals!) Good luck with re-testing again :)

AnnieHoo · 26/07/2014 10:06

LAM1 sorry I missed your post. It is a low result for your day 21 Prog test but the Clomid might be the very thing to give your ovaries the boost they need. Smile.

ImpatientOne · 26/07/2014 18:25

Hi everyone - just been busy catching up, seems to be a few positive journeys even though those BFPs are alluding us all for now...
This has been my first cycle off clomid after 3 with scans - my charts show I ov'd around day 13/14 which is very early for me and I had loads of EWCM Blush sorry for tmi!
I've caved and been using progesterone cream as per Ginger's recommendation - the smell is horrific but thank goodness no real side effects. CD21 so just another week to go one way or the other!

ToAvoidConversation · 26/07/2014 19:44

Impatient good news to hear that you are still ovulating even off of clomid Grin

kurama · 26/07/2014 21:19

Well it seems Annie you could be right. Although I'm sure I can see a hint of purple in yesterday's test it looks mostly grey and I've had all bfns today. Someone slap me for being an idiot please

ImpatientOne · 26/07/2014 22:23

kurama you are not an idiot, it's all part of this crazy process unfortunately.

Thanks Conversation O'ing has never been a problem (diagnosed with unexplained inf) but was always around day 17 which with a 27 day cycle was a bit late. Like you say though it's a relief to have managed it all by myself after 3 medicated cycles Grin

AnnieHoo · 26/07/2014 22:56

Kurama you are not an idiot! We all do it! Infact just five minutes ago I had a total surge of euphoria in the loo myself!!! I did another test and it's totally blank so came crashing down to Earth. Sometimes if you dip too long the dye runs or it dries to leave some cruel cruel evap lines. We ALL want to believe there's a line. Xxx

LondonSuperTrooper · 27/07/2014 15:45

Kurama - I third that! You are not an idiot. Just hopeful on this crazy journey of TTC!

StoneBaby · 27/07/2014 19:57

My dear past cycle buddy, you're stupid, we've all done it. Take care and fx
