Triple or anyone else, if I'm 14 days on Monday how early can I test from? Don't want to test and get false positives, but also am so impatient!! Smile

kerrylou84 · 30/06/2014 14:54

I would test the day you are due your period

Gingerbreadlady1 · 30/06/2014 16:54

Hi all. Still no further forward really. Still have some symptoms but uterus feels empty now if that makes any sense. Still no spotting or blood. Called epu who passed on info to my fc receptionist. She just said they'd do a test on fri when I have my apt. Great, another week in limbo. Wish the bleeding would just start. My mum had an op yesterday & ended up in high dependency, in a normal ward now. Plus thought my cat was going to die, he started being sick & really went down hill. He's back being an annoying (but lovable) wee shit so all is well there. Yesterday sucked.

Thanks for all the good wishes. Good luck to all those poas, more bfp's would really cheer me up. Anyone testing early, I recommended first response early result, sensitive & reliable.

Triplespin · 30/06/2014 19:15

Londonblondie - day AF is due is best as you can be sure of the result. I will however test early. I am on steroids post ov for my immune issues and been advised to test at 10dpo and if bfn then I stop the meds.

Ginger - your day yesterday sounds horrible. Why can't EPU see you any earlier? That is such a long wait!

I agree with using frer. Much better than others including digis. I need to buy some for next week. Does anyone know of any offers on frer?

kerrylou84 · 30/06/2014 19:27

You can normally get a pack of 2 for 10.99 or something from boots triple.

So sorry about your shitty day ginger. Surely they should be seeing you sooner? Bloody hopeless......they must all be the same!xxx

LondonSuperTrooper · 30/06/2014 19:50

Ginger, I would insist on blood tests. Making you wait till the end of the week is unkind. Big hugs & I hope that your mum makes a quick recovery.

StoneBaby · 01/07/2014 10:25

After 2 years of ttc and 10 months of seen a fc My secondary infertility has been given a name!! I got polycystis.

ginger poor you. How are you feeling today? I agree with others. Can you get your GP to check your blood? Or go to the EPU - they can't put the call to someone else of you're 'camping' in their office! Good luck

OP posts:
StoneBaby · 01/07/2014 10:25

Oops not of but if you're camping

Hi everyone. Well I've started spotting which I'm glad of as it could've taken ages. Back on the ttc roller coaster! I'm starting my new prolactin medication which should normalise my cycle, we'll see.

stone congratulations on the diagnosis, if they know what it is they can treat it. What's next for you?

LondonSuperTrooper · 01/07/2014 13:16

Stone, how did they finally diagnose you? Did you have blood tests, scan etc? I've been branded as unexplained and feel abandoned by the system :(

Ginger, big hugs.

LondonSuperTrooper · 01/07/2014 13:17

Ginger, meant to add good luck with your new meds.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/07/2014 14:26

Thanks london. I think the whole unexplained thing is bollocks, it's more like they can't be bothered or have the funding in the nhs to really investigate.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/07/2014 14:26

Don't have that should say.

StoneBaby · 01/07/2014 16:17

I was not diagnosed as such. The fc said so you have polycystic blablabla... Just saw it in the scan.

Today I had my 3rd scan for this cycle. Cd14. Still no follicle big enough so he increased my dosage and re-scan on Friday (cd17). I'm a bit Confused as if any mature enough iui would be at cd20! Seems quite late

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/07/2014 16:44

I've ovulated much later in my cycle, as long as you get a decent lp it can all work fine. And seen others with massively long cycles go on to get their bfp.

Think they've said the same to me pcos then no, just poly cystic. I really have very little faith in them. Think it means you can have cysts but not the syndrome (which is good news).

Triplespin · 01/07/2014 17:34

Ginger - at least the spotting has started so you can start to move on. I had something similar with mc#1 - positive test evening before at A&E and the next morning at EPU it was negative.

Stone - glad you have a diagnosis. What is the difference between PCO and pcos? I apparently have one of the two due to high LH but it has never been revealed on scans. I am on metformin for this. have you been given metformin? Not quite sure then how either of us conceived our dc#1 with the condition!

I managed to find a two pack frer on amazon for £7.50 and 2x2 for £14. So I am getting now four in the post. I am sure I will be disappointed this Sunday when I test ....

StoneBaby · 01/07/2014 17:51

triple remind me what pco mean? I think my polycystis is due to been type 1 diabetic. Not confirmed but reading around it may be linked. I have been on meformin, just clomid and now gonal-f injections and trigger shots.

ginger take care

OP posts:
StoneBaby · 01/07/2014 17:52

Oops have not been on metformin

OP posts:
Triplespin · 01/07/2014 17:57

PCO = polycystic ovaries. Not quite sure what polcystis is? Same thing? Pco is also related to type 1 diabetes and metformin is often given for this. Also helps to lose weight apparently, but I didn't need to lose wgt anyway. I have been on it for 3 weeks and already feel my appetite has reduced!

I would definitely ask for it. It apparently helps egg quality - I need to look up the reasons why again!

Is this your 2nd round on gonal-f?

StoneBaby · 01/07/2014 18:01

Thanks. Yes 2nd cycle on gonal-f. I think we only get 4 rounds max. Then it'll be game over for me. Fx it'll work sooner than later

OP posts:
Triplespin · 02/07/2014 17:55

Fx stone that it wrks out for you. Gonal-f has good results so hopefully it will work! Have you had all other tests done eg to check your tubes are open and dh contribution?

StoneBaby · 02/07/2014 18:25

triple yes those were the 1st tests we did. I was convinced DH was the problem. Then I had bloods done and we discovered the problem was me.

OP posts:
Triplespin · 02/07/2014 20:10

Yes same here. Dh was gloating after his results!!

StoneBaby · 04/07/2014 17:15

CD17 scan today. One follicle which has grown (11mm) so carry on with the daily injection and re-scan on Tuesday (cd21).

Has anybody had iui so late in their cycle?

How is everybody doing at the moment?
