Thanks Annie have a fab holiday.

LondonSuperTrooper · 26/06/2014 09:18

Right, I think that AF is on her way. I feel fine about it and its probably not the best month to get pregnant as I'm starting my new job on Monday... and I wouldn't be eligible for the 6 week employer pay of SMP. Plus it's my DS's 7th birthday party this weekend and I will be very busy and running after everyone, so perhaps it is not the best month to get my long awaited BFP. Well, that's what I keep telling myself but deep down I am gutted :(

I'm trying to be positive and will implement some of Mumsnet recommendations for TTC, some of which I have never heard of let alone tried before which are:

  • Cough syrups
  • Soft cups after DTD
  • And the usual prenatal vitamins

Is there anything else that I should be using to increase my chances?

All in all, I'm looking forward to this months TTC cycle and if I lose a stone between now and end of July then I will be able to get my clomid prescription - yay :)

LondonSuperTrooper · 26/06/2014 09:19

Ginger I hope that you are taking it easy. Have you contacted your FC yet?

Gingerbreadlady1 · 26/06/2014 09:28

Hi london, sorry AF may be imminent, however loving your pma. New job, exciting! I'd also recommend b6 and prog cream (I know I keep banging on about it, sorry).

Errr, not very good at taking it easy. Blush will call fc Monday if all still good, is that reasonable? Still very crampy.

annie have an amazing holiday, try to not think about ttc pish & have a real break.

LondonSuperTrooper · 26/06/2014 09:42

Ginger thanks for the reminder about prog cream - I'll add it to my list. My multi vitamins contains B6 - do I need to take it separately as well?

When is your appt with the FC? And take it easy!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 26/06/2014 09:51

I took 100mg a day on top of pregnacare. Remember prog is only for after ov.

Apt with fc is 4th & acu for ivf on 22nd. Paranoid about loosing them!

kerrylou84 · 26/06/2014 10:02

London try reflexology. I had it done the month I got pregnant. It may be just a huge coincidence but I do think it had something to do with it. The woman that did it also gave me a mix of fertility oils which she told me to rub on my stomach day and night, which I did.
I will hunt out the bottle and give you the ingredients.......it's worth a shot!

ginger have a relaxing weekend, don't do anything strenuous and if it doesn't need done then don't do it! My sister said that to me.......you've waited so long for this, relaxand eenjoy every minute xxx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 26/06/2014 10:11

Im working, again! We're short staffed & need the money. We currently live in a building site having bought a do-er upper (dump) so need to get cracking! kerry I'm still v crampy, did you have this?

LondonSuperTrooper · 26/06/2014 10:15

Ginger thanks for the B6 tip. Regarding your appointments, is the 4th just an appt with your fc? What's the appointment for the 22nd?

Kerry thanks for the info. My problem is that I do not have the time or money for reflexology. I work full time and have to ferry my DS after work to his various afterschool activities. I think I definitely need to take some time out just for myself - roll on the summer and the school holidays! I hate having this stressful life and i'm always rushing from one place to another :(

LondonSuperTrooper · 26/06/2014 10:16

Try and take it easy Ginger.

Kerry, meant to say yes please to the list of ingredients for the fertility oils.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 26/06/2014 10:18

22nd is for ivf (think its just to get placed on nhs waiting list)

LondonBlondie · 26/06/2014 13:04

Hi Clomid ladies! I'm 29, TTC 15 months and on cycle 2 of clomid at 100mg. CD13 Scan on Monday showed nice big juicy egg ready to pop so have been DTD since then- poor DH has not been enjoying the pressure but has managed to perform thank god!

Been feeling bloated and mild achy pain in womb/ovaries for last 24 hours, think it must just be something to do with ovulating, but seeing as I dont think I've ovulated before its all a bit new to me!

It's just to have fellow Clomid takers on here as my friends either arent TTC or dont seem to have any problems getting pregnant, so any advice welcomed!

LondonSuperTrooper · 26/06/2014 14:36

Ginger It's a tricky decision as to whether you inform the fc about your pregnancy. Good luck in deciding what to do.

Welcome Blondie I am not on fertility drugs just yet. I'm sure that the other ladies will be along shortly to answer your query.

kurama · 26/06/2014 15:01

welcome blondie yes the crampy pains could be to do with ov. I had that the 1st 3 months of my 50mg clomid. word of advice.... if the pain continues for 3 days go to docs it recomends just in case.

how are all the lovely ladies today? Smile

kerrylou84 · 26/06/2014 18:32

Hi London, the ingredients are;
50ml almond oil
5 drops geranium
1 drop clary sage
2 drops myrrh
1 drop sandal wood
1 drop lavender
1 drop manderin.

Again, this may not have been what helped me get pregnant, but some of the oils in there are used for fertility.....I'm sure myrrh is one of the main ones.
If you go to any spa/massage place and just ask if they could maybe make that up for you.xxx

kerrylou84 · 26/06/2014 20:22

natural-fertility-info.com/aromatherapy-fertility.htmladies here's a link I got off the lass that did my reflexology and gave me the oils, just a bit of info for you all xxx

LAM1 · 26/06/2014 21:56

Anniehoo I am still here, just been stupidly busy with work and trying my best not to get annoyed waiting for the FC. Anyway, finally got the HSG results. All "appears" normal, so I have just finished the norethisterone to force a bleed then start round 1 of clomid...have a complicated flow chart to try and get my head round in the next few days.

Have also demanded to be referred privately, gp is not interested in long term PCOS management - I want to get on metformin to see if that will control my weight. Have gained 1.5 stones since coming off the pill, despite no change in diet and doing loads of exercise. Am worried that my weight will just keep going up. Any tips on this ladies?! Not sure if they would consider that now that am starting clomid, although have read of others combining the two. Again if anyone has any thoughts of this feel free to send them me way...

Good to see some good news on here! I have a feeling I'll now be on here a fair bit.

StoneBaby · 27/06/2014 10:54

At the fc for 2nd time this week. The recorionist now calls me by my 1st name!

Hi all.

I am 26 TTC and I am on my first cycle of clomid, just had my second scan CD 12 and I have been told that I should ovulate over the weekend but my lining is not thick enough. I have another scan on Monday but I just feel pretty low just now. DH doesn't know what to do or say and I feel that I am making him feel worse by wanting to talk... Confused

Triplespin · 27/06/2014 13:37

Pickle - I know how you feel. On cd12 my lining was also very low at under 5mm and within 2 days it had increased to above 7mm. So please don't lose hope yet.
I just took my trigger on Wednesday, IUI on Thursday and I must have ovulated today. So now in my 2ww. We can be cycle buddies!

Pickle291 · 27/06/2014 13:49

Triplespin, that's postitive and does give me a bit of hope. I only have clomid to take, no other meds or injections. Does this sound normal?

Also does anyone else have sypmtons well after taking clomid. I feel like I have severe PMT and I still feel sick, not as severe as when I was taking clomid but it's definitely there!
