It's been so long, I've gone through all the emotions and continue to do so. Today I am feeling hopeful, so I just wondered if anyone has a happy ending story after a long time TTC?

Nothing compared to some of these stories but I found out I was pregnant (after first cycle of IVF) 4 years to the day we started TTC, so 48 months?

1st baby due in July and we could not be more happy/grateful Smile

Hope you don't mind me popping onto the thread but I have been ttc dc2 for 2 years and was just told "unexplained" etc etc etc. I was lucky enough to be able to afford a private scan recently that revealed endometriosis. I had none of the usual symptoms at all.

So I just wanted to say that i if you're offered a laporoscopy on the nhs to think seriously about taking them up on the offer. I was offered a lap by the NHS 18 months ago but in a very 'we can do one but its invasive and if we find anything we'll just recommend IVF anyway so we suggest you pop off for another 6 months, relax etc etc" kind of way. So we kept on for 6 more months before going to a private gynae (had IUI in between which worked but I miscarried).

I don't want to sound evangelical but consider endo as a possible cause. It never even crossed my mind I might have it as had no idea it could be asymptomatic.

ive had the lap/dye/camera thingy done last year and thats when found blocked tube, so blocked cant be repaired/flushed out etc :(

I'm going to look into the endometriosis and mention it to my GP. I have regular cycles, no problems, although I do get quite a lot of pelvic area pains.

I just wish I knew what the problem is because there is obviously one!

Good luck to you all still TTC xx

30 months ttc here so less that half of your torment. It's very worrying to think some of you ladies have tried for 5,6,7 years or longer.

Anyway, thought I'd post this article with video clip about endometriosis:
www.centerforhumanreprod.com/endometriosis_infertility.html

I had a laparoscopy in January and was diagnosed with mild endo, which they removed. Apparently this moves me from 'unexplained' as I now have an explanation. It doesn't make me feel any better to be honest as endo is very common and just as infuriating. It can return even more seriously, shortly after it's been removed. But the chances of conception are a bit higher for about a year after removal. I'm not taking any chances and still going ahead with our plan to do iui in the summer. So fed up of waiting for it to happen naturally.
