I think we should outrageously flex our collective uterus (Uteri??) and get some sensible stuff sorted out
or not contemplates a custard cream, looks at eyebrow

question is, how many of us are there really on this site? 50?
well if we all vote in the general election under our different guises we would be sure to hammer through useful change, oh and some stylish lobbyists

WilfSell · 17/11/2009 00:10

Onebat and PW are BEING MN opinion formers as we speak' aren't they?

I'd like to think I am both

Anyhow, ROFL at nonsense Tory HV policy almost being formed by MN. Cos there's LOOOOOAAAAAADS of support for health visitors and their excellent support of new mothers on MN. Oh yeah. We're tripping over ourselves to praise them...

AitchTwoToTangOh · 17/11/2009 10:01

my brain stopped me reading after 'Mum'n'Dad'. what happened next?

Hassled · 17/11/2009 10:05

It's astonishingly similar to this one here - linked to on a thread in chat. Do you think they're generated by a machine?

WilfSell · 17/11/2009 10:57

The Rachel Sylvester article is much better IMHO.

Swedes2Turnips0 · 17/11/2009 17:43

Ronaldinhio

I read the Rachel Sylvester article over lunch. I'm not sure I fancy being vox pops for the political parties' electioneering. That's not what Mumsnet is for is it?

Interesting that Mumsnet is
17% Labour voters
16% Conservative voters
16% Lib Dem
14% others mostly Green
37% don't know

Where does that information come from?

Feels like the politicisation of Mumsnet to me and I feel it will end in tears.

I started to read the article but got seduced by camping links and ended up laughing at a bad review of featherdown Farm.

What was the question again?

AitchTwoToTangOh · 17/11/2009 20:21

omg where's the ffarm review? was it the one in fife?

Swedes2Turnips0 · 17/11/2009 21:17

I see this evening the Mumsnet survey results have been released. Nice that we got them after the journalists at News International. I know Lenin has been asking for them for a while.

They polled 5,000 mumsnetters. What on earth happened to the other 845,000?

OMG it's true!! MNHQ are in the pockets of Murdoch!!! Just like we always suspected!! Except when we thought they were Trotskyites!!! Or when that nice Mr Clegg came in and charmed us all!!!

squeaver · 17/11/2009 21:38

Lebin - here

5,000 is a very very good sample size

MollieO · 17/11/2009 21:39

"Brown recently felt the wrath of the Mumsnet inquisition when he refused to name his favourite biscuit."

I think that quote puts it all in context . Good to know we get leading politicians running scared when it comes to their choice of .

squeaver · 17/11/2009 21:43

oops, sorry Lenin

LadyBlaBlah · 17/11/2009 21:45

14% green is a tragedy - what a waste [ironic emoticon]

I am with Ron -I am sure there are only about 50 MNers

Swedes2Turnips0 · 17/11/2009 21:50

I'm not sure 5,000 is such a good sample size when the thread was up for a number of weeks and 85% of Mumsnetters apparently use Mumsnet more than every couple of weeks.

Swedes2Turnips0 · 17/11/2009 21:52

only 5.8% of Mumsnetters took part.

squeaver · 17/11/2009 22:09

A sample of 1,000 is commonly used in market research to represent the UK adult population.

But agree more people could easily have done it.

I'd love to know how many individual posters post more often than once a week. What's the size of the hard core?

Ah but you used the correct terminology, whereas I resorted to "hard core"

[smutty]

BecauseImWorthIt · 17/11/2009 22:16

It would be interesting to see those figures set against the national average, to see where/how the MN population differs.
