not sure i would

I'd do it - I'm past caring if Warehouse Dave sees my flab. But agree it has to be optional.

Why is the guy in the photo wearing tights?

whomovedmychocolate · 13/10/2009 11:41

Do you have to do the 'M' from the YMCA song while they do it though?

Also did y'all read that study that said that the average GP sees seven bottoms per morning surgery? Do you think they notice whether it's fat/thin/spotty/whatever as well?

thighsmadeofcheddar · 13/10/2009 11:42

Definitely would. It's a shame I can live with.

VineGruesomeTits · 13/10/2009 11:44

I would, its not like the whole world is going to see you naked is it

I would also feel safer boarding a plane where everyone has gone through it, its not an invasion of privacy at all, i would rather be scanned than be dead becuase some terrorist got through with a consealed weapon

I would pull my tummy in as i passed though and make sure i was wearing decent underwear though

upahill · 13/10/2009 11:46

Yep, I second 'whomovedmychocolate'

ronshar · 13/10/2009 11:47

Speaking as a nurse who has inserted more catheters than I care to think about, everyone looks the same eventually!!!

I wouldnt mind.
I hate taking everything off just to get felt up by security guard anyway.

I am sure that the person looking would be looking for weapons not implants

whomovedmychocolate · 13/10/2009 11:55

Hassled he's wearing tights to prevent swingage

gorionine · 13/10/2009 11:56

But Vinegruesometits, If I understand correctly, it is not a choice between the san or no safety procedure, it is a choice between the scan or the "good old way" where a person's body is "felt" to heck they are not hiding anything (men chek men and women check womem). So security check would still be there regarless of naked scan.

Mybox · 13/10/2009 11:59

It wouldn't be a problem - safety comes first imho

Callisto · 13/10/2009 12:07

Wouldn't bother me in the slightest. And for all of you worriers about Dave and his penchant for booby comparisons, I think in a few years time we will all HAVE to go through one of these before getting on an aircraft, there won't be a choice in the matter.

My smallest was patted down whilst she was in my arms - they to check everyone including kids.

gorionine · 13/10/2009 12:14

""they sure as hell cant scan them""

Why can't they ?(as opposed to why shouldn't/wouldn't they)

Ewe · 13/10/2009 12:17

Wouldn't bother me at all.

Wonder what they would do regarding children though? What age would you start needing to go through naked scanner?

Furball · 13/10/2009 12:21

my ds went through age 6

Like I said, I didn't know at the time it was quite so graphic.

I agree with you Korma, I just though you had some scientific reason/information why children cannot possibly be scanned (like scan sends radioactive wawes maybe or someting similar).

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 13/10/2009 12:30

VinegarTits, what would be the point in wearing decent underwear? They see right through it!

If insisting on taking a naked photo of you isn't an invasion of privacy, I'm not sure what is

gorionine · 13/10/2009 12:33

LOL @ ADragonIs4lifeNotJustHalloween! (long but fab nme BTW)

Hi i am new

I don't like the idea of going through this scanner, i would rather take off my coat

herecomesthesun · 13/10/2009 17:12

I personally think that if it makes air travel safer then i'm all for it.

I have two babies under two and to carry one of them whilst pushing the buggy through as well as removing boots, belts and money etc. I would find it a lot easier to go through the scanner. The bloke looking at it wont know me from adam or remember me from the next person so I don't have any problem with it.

After having two kids half of the local hospital have seen a lot more than the bloke behind the scanner will see so i'd go through.

princessmel · 13/10/2009 17:18

I'd do it.

seeyounexttuesday · 13/10/2009 17:22

nope. not if i had my love eggs in.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 14/10/2009 17:48

I would. The image isn't exactly a crysal clear photo. Some blurry, white image.
