I am struggling to see what the problem is! Here.

That's barking - DD does this all the time and has now started fetching the bottle which came with her dolly, putting it up my shirt and yelling 'booby is better for babies than cow milk'

emkana · 25/05/2009 23:17

I despair at the world, I really really do

and my children breastfed their dolls and cuddly toys, and asked me to breastfeed them

3littlefrogs · 25/05/2009 23:20

My DS (aged 2 when ds2 was born)used to pretend to breast feed his teddy - I just thought it was sweet and slightly amusing.

moaningminnie2020 · 25/05/2009 23:20

Must stop looking at Daily Moan links, they ALWAYS make me mad!! FFS, DD tries to feed her giraffe, so thats practically bestiality

Lubyloo · 25/05/2009 23:26

Sorry - should have warned it was a Daily Mail link. My DD also into bestiality as tries to feed her stuffed gorilla!

ChasingSquirrels · 25/05/2009 23:33

mine breastfed his teddy from his tummybutton I was doing it right! Good job he is male so it won't matter for his offspring

"Deborah Winter, 39, who was visiting her nine-week-old grandson at Rochdale, said: "The picture is shocking and it isn't normal"

'Course not, love

notnowbernard · 25/05/2009 23:35

Indeed

Next time you catch your pre-schoolers wearing your high-heels - TAKE ACTION

Imitation is a dangerous thing for little people

People are nuts

skramble · 25/05/2009 23:36

Totally inoffensive, but a crap advert to encourage breastfeeding I suppose.

whomovedmychocolate · 25/05/2009 23:37

My DD was caught HAVING A TEA PARTY yesterday! I am so ashamed. She just must have seen me drinking tea at home and thought it was normal. I must stop myself, otherwise, soon, she might be combing her hair and brushing her teeth spontaneously as well.

Both my older two simulated BF with various dolls and soft toys when they saw me Bf a newborn.

My DS now 5 doesn't bat an eyelid at BF mothers. If he saw that poster he's just think it was a little girl copying her Mummy the same way his little sister copied me.

myredcardigan · 25/05/2009 23:47

lol, Ninkynork!

Just a year older than me and my eldest is 5!

mayorquimby · 26/05/2009 10:18

"Australian feminist blog Hoyden About Town was one of the first to pick up on the issue.
One concerned contributor wrote:
'It is the sort of picture that a paedophile would show a kid to say look it is OK to do that because it is what grown-ups/mothers do. What next.'
"

i know it's not nice to call people names, but seriously whoever that contributor is, they are literally a fucking moron.

Oh, ffs.
The only offensive thing about it is the poor production value.

NormaSknockers · 26/05/2009 11:09

Why oh why would anyone find that offensive?

Children DO copy their mothers - they'll be making a fuss about little girls trotting round in mummys high heels next!

mayorquimby · 26/05/2009 11:10

agreed nickytwotimes.it is a bit of a shit poster.

Castiel · 26/05/2009 11:20

"Deborah Winter, 39, who was visiting her nine-week-old grandson at Rochdale, said: "The picture is shocking and it isn't normal"

I've never been to Rochdale. Oh what a sweet, innocent place it must be if that's what she finds shocking. I saw an overweight, sunburned man topless in Sainsbo's last night. Deborah Winter, 39 of Rochdale would have been climbing the shelves and begging for mercy at the sight.

GooseyLoosey · 26/05/2009 11:31

Going against the trend here - something about the poster does make me uncomfortable. I would never complain about it as I think that my feelings reflect my own personal hang-ups rather than any problems with the poster. Nevertheless, I suspect that it will make many people feel slighly uncomfortable and whilst that may also be their problem, it does little to promote the cause it seeks to serve.

NormaSknockers · 26/05/2009 11:38

PMSL Castiel classy shoppers you were mixing with there

HuffwardlyRudge · 26/05/2009 11:43

Extraordinary.
