If you found a lottery ticket you should return the lottery ticket. If it is a winner or not is irrelevant, the ticket itself would not be yours.

Nope, I wouldn't be able to. I found a wallet with money in and took it to the police station, I have no idea if the owner ever got it back, but if I'd kept the £80 inside it I would've felt dreadful. I'd rather hand it in and have a little hope that maybe the rightful owner might give me a small reward for being honest

I feel really sorry for them. Surely it is the buyers responisibility to look after that ticket they have bought? The poor buggers have aonly cleared their debts and bought some new carpets

I used to work in woolies and no end of people used to forget to take their tickets home after purchasing them. We used to keep them until closing time and then rip them up iirc
