Michelle Obama hugged the Queen!

Honestly Michelle Obama is such a goddess.
I wonder what the queen was thinking - ie was she gritting her teeth and thinking 'Must- not -flinch .... must - not - jeopardize Special Relationship' or if she was all 'OOooh Michelle Obama hugged me!'

Although I've got to say, the image of the Queen in a headscarf with white headphone leads trailing from it is quite amusing

Merrylegs - I guess it helps that her DH is taller than her, even in heels. Do you remember all the stuff in the press when Sarkozy and Carla Bruni got together - about how she suddenly stopped wearing heels and was photographed walking along some steps outside an official building but she was a step lower than him ...

Saw Sarkozi's press conference yesterday, all the journos nodding sagely at Sarky's speech and I just imagined a 'think' bubble coming out of his head:

"yes yes, you are listening to me, but what you are all thinking iz - 'ow did he manage to land a woman like 'er?"

Now the Obamas just look so good together, dontcha think?

What has Michelle got on her feet? Must check the link and have a look. According to DH, Michelle was asked not to wear heels as she is sooooo tall and the queen is soooo diddy. In heels she'd have been over a foot taller.

What an appallingly badly phrased letter. Far too many commas. A greengrocer's apostrophe. You'd think someone with a working knowledge of the English language would have written it for her proof read it.

Im really, really impressed by Michelle Obama- she appears to be a wonderful, warm woman. I was moved by her speech to the girl pupils yesterday, she appeared genuinely interested in them.

Lovely lady, I think she is amazing.
