Can an adult who got his very under age gf pregnant foster dc way down the line?. The news article is leaving a bitter taste tbh...
Would such a man be suitable?. Surely not?

I shouldn't of said "foster homes" my bad phrased it wrong, I meant to say care homes. I've heard there's a shortage of foster carers. Just my opinion but I think the Radford's would make great foster carers, they've got way more experience raising kids than anyone here on this thread 🤷🏻‍♀️ they were both adopted themselves so probably understand the emotional side of it more than most of us here.
Yes standards to foster are very high you need a spare bedroom which most people don't have. But as more Radford kids fly the nest leaving empty bedrooms in their massive house.

Just because they've had a large volume of children it does not mean that they would are good parents or that they'd be equipped to deal with any additional needs a child who has been through trauma might have.

The way they've exploited their various children on social media and the TV would suggest they don't know much about child safeguarding. So one would hope that factor alone would stop them being approved. (Especially as if anyone watches the TV shows its quite clear only the littlest ones get any attention and passed off to the older kids to care for once there's a new baby on the scene.)

The Radford house seems to be more like a chaitic group care home than a peaceful home environment of a Foster home.

Children who are in children’s houses (care homes is a very outdated terminology) are more often than not unable to cope with living in a family setting. They have complex emotional needs and need strong support and structure from staff - none of which could be provided at the level of intensity needed when there are multiple other children to care for.

Adopted as babies. With a steady parented life until he got his grubby mitts on her. Not adopted as older children and they also weren't raised in the care system as some spread about on threads about this family.

You are aware people adopted as babies also suffer with trauma from that right?

@Leah5678 I’ve comprehended just fine love, I’m not the one sat here excusing pedophilia that would be you. Alongside advocating vulnerable children live with someone who fucked a 13 year old and got her pregnant when he was an adult.

Where the fuck did I "excuse pedophilia" FFS, you're either completely illiterate and can't read or just deliberately misinterpreting to start an argument. Yeah I said it was common back in the day because it was. I also said about three times that it was still wrong.

I highly doubt you'd dare say the shit you've said to me here irl, that's the problem with the internet tbh

Reading comprehension isn't your strong point is it?

You did say it was normal back in the day

That is not what the law says.

If a man has sex with a child under 13, the offence is rape of a child under 13 regardless of the child's consent. However, their consent (or lack thereof) is relevant for sentencing.

If a man has sex with a child aged 13-16, the offence is rape if the child does not consent. However, if the child consents, the offence is sexual activity with a child (and therefore, contrary to what some on this thread have said, the offender is not a rapist). If the sex is consensual, there is no evidence of coercion and the ages are close, the authorities will not prosecute.

Right but the offence is right there. Sexual activity with a child. A 13 year old is a child and has no business being coerced into sex by a man. 13 and 18 are not close in age.

I can’t believe the number of child sexual abuse apologists on here.

If the child is coerced an offence has been committed.

I hope you are not calling me a sexual abuse apologist.

RafaistheKingofClay · 28/02/2024 00:49

I don’t think there was any suggestion it wasn’t illegal. Just that that the law does differentiate between children under 13 and those 13 and over and people might want to be careful about calling people a rapist. Particularly when it’s quite obvious from the thread who is being talked about.
