I'm sure the people who have launched the search are fully aware of the problems they face but they must be sure also that there is chance that they can fund clothes after so long.
Maybe clothes was in bags s which is why they are hopeful.makes sense because individually clothes could float.

Maybe if they were polyester clothes they wouldn't break down in water, or would still be intact to the degree they could be identified.

I have thought so much about Madeleine over the years, as I'm sure many thousands of others have. I really hope that the McCanns can get some kind of closure, even after all the years. It's been hell for them. I can only imagine how I'd feel if one of my little girls had been taken. I had hopes of the Polish lady being Madeleine, but of course it was proven not to be.

The polish lady looked completely different to Madeleine. Completely different facial features.

Their search was quite short and specific wasn't it? They clearly have had a tip off as to where to look.

I read today it was a gun and camcorder that allies of his had dropped in the lake after falling out.

Not sure what the clue is, but hopefully it helps them figure out what happened to Maddie

I know this invites controversy and blame, but is it possible to share how much I hope the new search yields a location for her finally and she can be returned to her family.

She may not want to returned to her family. She's now 20 years old and may well in best case scenario have been brought up by another loving family. (I'm sure Kate and Gerry would rather that than any other alternative.) Would she even know her Mum and Dad now, surely they'd now be total strangers to her. I pray that her parents and family get the closure that they need. Even if she decides she doesn't want a relationship with them at least they'd have answers.

Sorry @Awwlookatmybabyspider it was a euphemism for her body. I don't think she is alive.
