Please say I'm not the only one wondering who is this guy and what was the catchphrase!

This thread is hilarious … at the way this thread is going it must have been Graham Norton

LOL I would love it if it was Graham Norton. As he is TWAW presumably he would have sex with a trans man (i.e. a biological woman). To refuse to would mean he was a 'genital fetishist' and would be literal violence 😂

Hi
I've named changed for this. I know the daughter, she is friends with DD1 - it is most definitely Paddy McGuinness!

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 06/10/2022 10:11

I find this quite funny. I don't know nor have heard much about Paddy McG, and I guess he does look like he might do this.

I feel sorry for his family though, his ex-wife and kids, I know lots of families cope really well with autism but he's been quite vocal about how it's affected their family life. Doesn't excuse him doing this though.

What age is your daughter? I ask because I’m wondering if the idiot got off with the stripper on his stag night.

She's 16 now, but the girl in question is younger, she's just gone into Year 11 - it was before he was married. The girl talks quite freely about it amongst her friends. We never knew whether to believe her or not, but it does appear to be true. I'd say she'll be 16 soon.

Bit odd if it was from before he was married and if he was a single man.

all it really is then is someone who was single slept with this woman five times, she said she was pregnant and there was a dna test that proved he wasn’t the father.

The test was inconclusive. From what I understand there was enough of a genetic match to indicate he was related to the girl.

Can that happen?
I thought DNA tests gave definitive results?

RosalindsAFuckingNightmare · 06/10/2022 11:22

Paddy and Christine have been married 15 years so they would have been together at the time.

It does seem that way. He was 'famous' then though, and perhaps had a girlfriend and/or didn't want to be associated with a stripper. I suppose only he knows why, we can only speculate!

Paddy and Christine have been married 15 years so they would have been together at the time.

They married in 2011, so only been married 11 years, as far as I'm aware.

Anyway, that's what I know, and it has been common knowledge with DD and her peers for a few years.

I'm sure the truth will find a way out. It always does.

MarshaMelrose · 06/10/2022 11:39

This whole story doesn't make sense. When he took the dna test, surely the testers knew who to take the sample from? Why would she force him to take a dna test, then when that proved he wasn't the father, willingly sign an nda to not talk about it, only to decide to talk about it later? Why sign an nda to cover her daughter? Can her daughter be held responsible to keep an nda she's not legally old enough to agree to and which she never signed?
The whole situation is bizarre.

Sorry, yes married for 11 years but together for 15. Even if he didn't cheat on her this time (although it looks possible), their marriage was on the rocks after he apparently did cheat on her while she was filming The Games. She's worth so much better.

theresaratinthekitchen · 06/10/2022 12:05

Paddy McGuinness is the first person I thought of too.

But if the girl is coming up to 16, what was his catchphrase when he met the mum as Take Me Out hadn't started yet?

Did he have another famous catchphrase ?

Horizons123 · 06/10/2022 13:03

@theresaratinthekitchen something from Phoenix Nights maybe?

Horizons123 · 06/10/2022 13:08

Google tells me that Paddy's character in Phoenix Nights' catchphrase was... Ding dang do!!

HebeSunshine · 06/10/2022 13:29

Ding dang do!!

Omg it is so that!!! Ding on one, Dang on t'other, Do in between, just slightly below.

He told her he couldn't have children, so I assume it's a guy with no known children?
Dirty dog

Could be post vasectomy. Not unusual.

PMcG has had at least 3 children since then so more likely a line he spun her. He would have been early 30s and unmarried so not a typical vasectomy candidate

Interesting that it's been an open secret for years but only coming out now. There must be a lot more to this

Paddy McGuiness is a good call but Take Me Out was an ITV show and the report says a BBC prime time presenter. Did he do any BBC prime time work?

I think game show hosts are the ones who tend to have a catchphrase, but I'm struggling to think who it is.

Didn't he host Question of Sport? Or still does...

Fairly easily discounted on the basis that someone with about 6 children wouldn't be using the defence that he can't have kids 😀

Hasn’t Paddy got kids?

The mother claimed he had someone else do the test. His cousin.

And a few years ago when I was found via ancestry by a (half) sister our birth father tried to say she was maybe his cousins child as he’d been working in the same town as our birth father. Anyway it turned out tour birth father was her father due to the amount of centimorgans in the dna sample. If it had been his cousins child there would have been much less of them. Not that I believed his lies for a minute.
