How indiscreet has he been if all the journos have been talking about it for years. How does he even come back from being the prince of pegging now? It’s massively trending worldwide.

Agreed. But you have to admit they hit a home-run jackpot (said PR company was known to engage in dirty tactics involving bots and fake virality). Once something like this starts trending it's impossible to control and they also know that the RF cannot possibly attempt to defend or issue a statement on this. The media must also be seething at not being able to write any official articles and thus missing out on the traffic and ad revenue.
