oh yes it all has the ring of truth.

"Oh darling by the way I am having an affair with that legal executive you said had a very bad dye job and needed to get herself measured for a bra."
"oh are you dear, that's nice for you."
"wellI though I should let you know. Anyway, just popping out to the shed to do a bit of potting up,is that OK?"
"righty ho, well I shall pop a quiche in the oven for lunch and mind you don't start any fires near that huge petrol spillage."

WaynettaVonBlood · 11/10/2007 13:06

PMSL Fio - have thoght of women over the country cutting news stories about this out of the paper and sticking then up in their DPs' sheds, as a 'warning'......

motherinferior · 11/10/2007 13:07

We are at least not doing the Anguish bit ...

TellusMater · 11/10/2007 13:09

Or the self-justification

bookwormmum · 11/10/2007 13:09

I thought a lot of elderly married men kept porn in their sheds (my dp's father used to). Maybe he was just burning his stash of girlie mags?

Oh dear, this thread is going to have me hooked now .

When it happened years ago I read that he told his wife he wanted a divorce and then a short while later said he was going out to mow the grass. Which is odd in itself.

Then he's in shed and shed blows up.

I've always thought though that IF the wife had something to do with it she sorted it out very quickly seeing as he'd only told her 2 hours before. I wouldn't know how to tinker with a lawnmower to make it blow up and I suspect most people wouldn't.

But it did say in the paper the other day that the door was shut and secured from the outside. Dunno how true that is.

Hmm - apparently under cross examination the mistress admitted that he had told her he was depressed not long before he died.

WendyWeber · 11/10/2007 17:50

And they think there will be a narrative verdict so no unlawful killing.

(The wife says he told her the mistress was trying to blackmail him so maybe she's just after some money...)

PoshCod · 11/10/2007 18:09

WEll if my dh had announced he was leaving me I wouldn't be taking him out a casserole would you?

Hallgerda · 12/10/2007 11:44

I might, DrNortherner, but I wouldn't vouch for the non-toxicity of the ingredients.
