Apologies if there's another thread, I couldn't see one. Clearly if he's off presiding over ceremonies he's not under house arrest is he? It's obviously more complicated but can someone clever explain it to me? Is it all about saving face? How is he actually likely to be taking this?

So they say he's sacked
He says he's staying on
What now?

Guessing he won't get paid at the end of this month :o

Just watched Mugabe's speech in anticipation of him resigning. He gave a long, rambling, confused speech but NO resignation! It was a fat mess. Oh well, impeachment for him. He will be removed from the presidency come what may, and I hope they will strip him and his evil wife of their plundered wealth and return it to the people of Zimbabwe.

If only all the plundered wealth sat with them. What they've got is undoubtedly out of the country

The economy needs some tlc and there are quite a lot of contracts that need burning. Unfortunately the military got a lot of the backhanders though. So depressing how people are willing to sell their own country down the river

But things can only get better once he's gone
