Sex Attacks in Cologne and other European Cities Part IX

Petition

Women in the UK must be free to work, travel and live free of sexual violence

Recently, women across the EU were subjected to mass sexual assaults of a type previously unknown in Europe. We demand that Government brings forward proposals for extra measures to uphold UK women's rights, safety & freedom, and to expand police understanding-recognition-response to such behaviour.

sunnychild that article in BBC is about the so-called 'social-engineering' u can read about it in Wiki. It has been a dated and failed 'experiment'. Look up the 'history of Cold war' both sides..

MariscallRoad · 03/03/2016 16:25

sunny I would not worry about the article. Robotized humans do not exist. Nobody can engineer a human or a human society. We humans make artificial robots to serve some our needs.

Rainbunny · 03/03/2016 22:11

Joining this thread late but I am encouraged to find other people feel the same as me in that I'm frustrated at being told "sexual harassment like this happens everywhere" as a way to counter the truth that men in some cultures really are more predisposed to entitled to do what they want to girls and women.

Many people spoke out after Cologne to argue that the majority of migrants/refugees would never treat women as on the NYE attacks but this article in Der Spiegel shows what people who work directly with refugees have experienced with male attitudes.

www.spiegel.de/international/germany/sexism-and-islam-debated-in-germany-after-cologne-attacks-a-1073751.html

Also, has anyone heard about the 2 girls chased by a gang of 30 men through a mall in Kiel recently? Let's be honest, this kind of behaviour has not been a part of our culture previously.

Cologne finally mentioned on Question Time over two months after the events occured.

Pity it was bloody UKIP who brought it up Angry

Helena you are right I am blushing too.

MariscallRoad · 04/03/2016 00:03

Rainbunny thanks for the Spiegel International (English) piece. It is a good quality source with interviews and articles. On the front page left hand column bottom it has International Newsletter Subscribe (it is free) and if you wish you do so. I did so and they email me summaries of headlines linked with articles and commentaries. FT and Economist have free read of a few articles monthly and same holds for NYT and WSJ.

Rainbunny · 04/03/2016 00:22

Mariscal - thanks, I've been reading Der Spiegel religiously in the last year or so. With all the high quality research and reporting being done from many respectable sources which clearly shows there is a greater issue with men from these strongly patriarchal societies treating women measurably worse than men in our existing European societies, why is this not being publicly discussed by our political and EU leaders. Women are over 50% of the population for goodness sake, I'm just tired of every incident being written off as a "rare, one off event" that is surprising to the authorities for some reason.

MariscallRoad · 04/03/2016 00:52

Rainbunny Women make up half the workforce but unfortunately we have been also receiving the very low end of the wages such as minimum wage and someone has been saying this in this thread. We want to have job opportunities and need to go out without fear at any time of day or night and work. Moreover, many pensioners women and disabled ones work for a small wage to make ends meet and I see them when I shop in my neighbourhood in the superstores till 11 pm!

MariscallRoad · 05/03/2016 00:23

Following the Cologne attacks and the reaction to the open door refugee policy both Germany and Austria introduced measures to deter immigration but they also said they want the flow to stop.

Interesting blog post

Life after NYE 2016 for Women in Germany

Quaintessential · 05/03/2016 08:43

I think it's important to remember that gang rape by migrant men is happening here in the UK, perhaps not on the same scale as the rest of Europe, no doubt due to the fact that we haven't had the same level of mass immigration.

The full story however is not clear as the police and media rarely publish the ethnicity of the perpetrators and of course most go unpunished.

I was shocked to find that gang rape doesn't even have it's own crime category in the UK.

www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/gang-rape-is-it-a-race-issue-1711381.html

The rapists of the poor women in Colne, who she described as speaking with foreign accents are still at large and may have struck again, but again no descriptions being released. I don't think there is anyway of knowing the true extent of this crime since it's not even recorded and is clearly being kept out of the media. It's this aspect that concerns me the most, along with the deeply disturbing and entrenched attitude towards the, mainly child victims.

m.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/14259558.Woman_dragged_into_alleyway_and_allegedly_gang_raped_in_Colne/?ref=mac NB. The descriptions were finally released by the Lancashire police but weren't reported in the media.

www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/6951027/Gang-rape-of-young-woman-dragged-off-the-street-could-be-linked-to-identical-attack-10-miles-away.html

Some articles on other recent gang rape cases in the UK

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3437252/Twelve-men-repeatedly-gang-raped-abused-vulnerable-teenage-schoolgirl-saw-utterly-worthless-jailed-total-140-YEARS.html

www.london24.com/news/crime/girl_12_gang_raped_in_east_london_court_hears_1_3954498

I could post dozens more links but I don't think it's necessary, and that is despite the fact the majority of these crimes go unreported.

We need to look at under reporting, victim support, crime categorising and sentencing, as current punishments are simply not deterring rapists. I would like to see a nationwide anti-rape campaign for starters. And I would like admission from the government that integration of certain cultures is simply not working.

AnnaForbes · 05/03/2016 08:55

Interestingly our local police is holding a public meeting next week and we have all been invited along to learn how we can keep safe and stay out of dangerous situations in public places Hmm. Wonder why this is necessary, it never has been before. I don't suppose it could be connected to the large number of migrants being housed in our hotels could it?

Quaintessential · 05/03/2016 09:01

I've never heard of such meetings being necessary here in the UK before Anna so can only assume your assumptions are correct.
I would be asking the police what they are going to do to protect locals and what measures are in place to integrate the migrants into UK culture.

AnnaForbes · 05/03/2016 09:07

I'm on first name terms with my MP over integration issues, he been great but I'm still not convinced integration works. I will definitely attend and ask why such a meeting is necessary. Bet they won't admit anything though.

Quaintessential · 05/03/2016 09:17

I think the huge rise in sex crimes across Europe are a very good indicator that integration is not working. I should imagine many of those descending on Europe are complete unaware of the laws of the country they are in. And those intent on doing harm to others have zero respect for the law anyway. Look at the number of police who have been attacked.

user1457171675 · 05/03/2016 10:34

Hi all,

I've never used mumsnet before so not sure how to change my username so sorry it's so boring. I felt motivated to join this discussion because I actually feel really scared by everything going on right now. It does seem that leaving the EU would be the only way to prevent all these migrants coming to the UK and carrying on as they are in Europe, but then we hear that we won't be able to control migration still - does anyone know more facts or is it all just conjecture at the mo? I just think that Europe was lovely as it was - not perfect but at least women had rights and I've always felt safe going out alone etc. Now I worry for my daughters' future.

BrittEkland · 05/03/2016 10:54

Anna said "This is why critical thinking isn't taught in schools. The masses need to be brainwashed. It's frightening how people can't see what is happening and how it will end."

Step 1 - dumb down State education. This process began about 35yrs ago, and it takes about 3 or 4 generations to complete.

Step 2, do not teach the country's history in any credible way, so the pupil has no feel for her place in the world and therefore is fertile ground for all kinds of propaganda and repeating patterns go unnoticed. There are further steps.

Everything that is happening in our country is not an accident or due to ineptitude. It is all deliberate.

BrittEkland · 05/03/2016 11:04

user1457171675 Britain is signed up to the 1951 Geneva Convention so we will remain obliged to take refugees, I believe. But control of economic migrants would be under our control. If we leave the EU, we would have to sign new Trade Agreement with the EU. This will be a dangerous time, because the EU will be angry at us for leaving and apart from that they will try to impose what they imposed on Norway.

Norway is not an EU member, but because it is strongly socialist it did not balk at EU's requirement for free movement of European people into Norway. That was a clause in Norway's Trade Agreement with the EU. I think they were happy to sign but now that they have seen the behaviour, attitudes and violence of the so-called refugees that have poured into Norway I suspect they regret signing up for free movement.

In other words, any resident of Europe can move to Norway and live there. This "European" is not a European but someone who was a migrant and is now a citizen of the one of the EU countries. I suspect that they can also claim benefits in Norway, after a qualifying period.

Anyone who has better info on UK's obligations for genuine refugees (a Home Office definition) under various conventions please post here.

30 Afghanis chase girls in German shopping mall.

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3475257/Mob-30-Afghan-men-chase-teenage-girls-German-shopping-mall-sparking-huge-confrontation-police.html

Seriously, who wants this shit behaviour?

BrittEkland · 05/03/2016 11:22

Oh dear, migrant rape crisis worsens in Germany.
Public spaces are becoming perilous for women and children.

This is so predictable, and the politicians didnt know?!!! My cat could have told you this.

www.gatestoneinstitute.org/7557/germany-rape-migrants-crisis

Quaintessential · 05/03/2016 11:22

Interior Minister Stefan Studt said the incident was 'unacceptable' and that Germans 'need to be able to live freely in this country.'
He warned against drawing comparisons to the mass molestation of women in Cologne on New Year's Eve.

From that article. How exactly is it different? 30 men harassing 2 young girls, sounds exactly the same to me. The fact they resisted arrest and became violent shows their utter contempt for the law. And all but one have been released without charge, as I keep saying there is no deterrent to this behaviour as it is rarely punished.

BrittEkland · 05/03/2016 11:26

GERMAN SWIMMING POOL SAYS IT HAS BEEN FORCED TO SEGREGATE MEN AND WOMEN.

This is due to one and one thing only - gropings and worst by various recent migrants. It's happening in all EU countries, not just Germany. Our lives are being changed at a most fundamental level.

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3476426/German-swimming-pool-two-migrant-sex-attacks-carried-says-forced-segregate-men-women.html

user1457171675 · 05/03/2016 11:33

Thanks Britt for that info on EU referendum - I agree we MUST be able to obtain a better settlement than did Norway. Refugees should claim asylum in the 1st country they land in I thought too so we should be ok since France, Germany, Holland etc are hardly likely to turn into war zones - unless a civil war ensues when the migrants get unhappy for some as yet unfathomable reason (they always seem to find one).

This is a worrying development - examine-islam.org/2016/03/the-silencing-of-the-truth-of-islam/

BrittEkland · 05/03/2016 11:35

I just want to add to my post upthread about leaving the EU.

If we do exit, our Home Office has to change its ways as well. They will need to revise what constitutes Refugee. For example, at the moment, persons who are gay - or claiming to be gay (such as the African woman approx 3 yrs ago) and living in a country hostile to homosexuality should not be able to apply for asylum.

Why has an African travelled all the way to Britain anyway? He/she could have applied in the first non-discriminatory country, which may be Spain. Why cross two bodies of water to come to our island?

Also, I believe you can currently apply for asylum if you have seriously fallen out with your family, i.e. they are chasing you for return of money. That should not be a reason to seek asylum in Britain. Instead, you move to an adjoining country.
