Found it - eventually

elliott · 16/01/2006 12:31

I read it too but didn't click...
(off now to search through recycling box....)

Enid · 16/01/2006 12:33

oh cant you just say? I am at wrok and cannot find it

know her name

Janh · 16/01/2006 12:34

It's an intelligence test, Enid

SorenLorensen · 16/01/2006 12:35

MI looks like me? Really? Damn, that's blown my new name, hasn't it? (spelled it wrong before )

NomDePlume · 16/01/2006 12:37

enid, I'd like to know too. Given that it is in a newspaper, I'm assuming that MI can't be that bothered about MNers seeing it ?! Stop the clique-i-ness and do us a link to the article pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeeeee

SorenLorensen · 16/01/2006 12:38

Can't find it. Found lots of Guardian articles by her though.

motherinferior · 16/01/2006 12:38

Case studies for a 'family holidays' piece. We are - for reasons principally to do with DP's job - the green family. Ahem.

Polgara2 · 16/01/2006 12:38

Ditto NomdePlume - it's driving me mad looking for it!!!!!

Janh · 16/01/2006 12:39

You don't get the pic in the link anyway, and it has MI's actual name in (obv) which is why nobody has - if MI doesn't mind linking herself...???

OP posts:
motherinferior · 16/01/2006 12:40

The cunning thing is that my name is spelled wrong, although not deliberately on my part.

fortunately no online pic

NomDePlume · 16/01/2006 12:40

oh ok then. Given that it is too late to see MI in print, I may as well give up on my futile efforts.

NomDePlume · 16/01/2006 12:40

ha ! xposts !

NomDePlume · 16/01/2006 12:41

what unusual name you have, MI

Polgara2 · 16/01/2006 12:45

Aha thank you. Well I think your name conjures up a lovely picture of an elegance and sophistication actually - hmm my name feels positively dull in comparison . Beautiful children's names too.

NomDePlume · 16/01/2006 12:46

Will you be taking Kate's advice, then ?!

motherinferior · 16/01/2006 12:47

Er, going to France like wot we said we didn't want to? Suspect not

Rhubarb · 16/01/2006 12:48

Why not?

Because the only holidays we've had since DD1 was born have been in France and I yearn for a change.

Janh · 16/01/2006 12:49

Scillies have always sounded fab...

OP posts:
Dinosaur · 16/01/2006 12:49

motherinferior that's really helpful - I was going to post a message on here asking about holiday destinations that are accessible by train, as we don't have a car (or drive, in fact). The Scilly Isles recommendation sounds great!

Janh · 16/01/2006 12:50

What about Ireland, MI? Ferry from - er - somewhere in Wales and then lots of lovely rain?

OP posts:
Rhubarb · 16/01/2006 12:51

I like the Highlands. There is this brilliant Youth Hostel there set in a castle right in the Highlands. It's set in beautiful grounds, brilliant for walks and stuff, and the castle itself is absolutely magnificient and they provide meals too, I'll see if I can find it.

motherinferior · 16/01/2006 12:52

Or just training it a looooooooooooooooong way. You can be quite creative with non-flying, actually, if you put your mind to it - and the Inferiorettes would rather enjoy it. Although frankly I think we may be found furtively sidling along under big hats at Gatwick this summer
