lizpurple, \link{http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011/jul/12/rupert-murdoch-bskyb-news-international\poor old Rupert must be gutted}

'Rupert Murdoch will face the humiliation of the Commons issuing a unanimous all-party call for his scandal-ridden News Corporation to withdraw its £8bn bid for BSkyB, the great commercial prize he has been pursuing to cement his dominance of the British media landscape.
In an extraordinary volte face David Cameron will disown the media tycoon by leading his party through the lobbies to urge him to drop the bid.'

Blush sorry, too much wine. That would be govt and leaning oh, and opposition Blush again.

mrsdonkeybucket · 12/07/2011 22:00

Let's keep everything crossed, Ponders

Couldn't quite believe it when I heard it earlier, I also thought the phrasing was quite amusing, "the coalition govt. will be supporting Ed Miliband's proposal".(or something similar).

For ages and ages all I have heard about is what the Tories are doing for us, have't heard them called a coalition for ages.

I want to know why DC has been so quiet. Apart from doing the 'done thing' (ie, someone wrote it for him and it sounded good) and saying that he would have accepted RB's resignation, he has been very noticable by being silent.

Nooo - I don't have one lizard in mind - I worked in area with good knowledge of it for some years before kids....This is on an industrial scale - it's almost like an oozing factory of sewage where people have totally lost their moral compass..... I do not want these people to run my children's world - how dare they override our value-system like this? It stinks! I just about to lose job - it's off to Salford.... nothing v the north - too disruptive for ma famille youngies and oldies right now. No-one seems to care any more about the "normal" people who pay taxes and bloody well care about the societal values. It's OK they are knocking at the door now to take me away!! Ranting......

It's a bit of a beast... Mind you, not surprising considering the revulsion at this story. I haven't been at work for a few days so a bit short of tasty gossip, i'm trying to work out just how much worse this can get! Did the NoTW kill Diana?
