I can well believe it, headfairy

He needs a good wash.

Why is Boyd wearing those comedy drinking straw glasses?

Coogan speaks sense here.

BornSicky · 08/07/2011 23:15

"rat-like, feral..." mcmullen...

genius Mr Self!

animula · 08/07/2011 23:15

Poor old Will Self: He's one of those who longs for some idealised "pure revolution" so much that he is always a nay-sayer for any of the smaller joys.

crazynanna · 08/07/2011 23:16

Love Stevie..but the hair bit of a 'Mad Professor Syndrome' thing going on there Confused

animula · 08/07/2011 23:16

I liked Justine's first point.

WS may not be wrong, but nor is Justine. (imo)

FoundWanting · 08/07/2011 23:16

DH just said, "I think I'd really like Will Self if he spoke English all the time."

BornSicky · 08/07/2011 23:16

ooh coogan's hair with matery's chemistry lab glasses and will self's looney rambles = a mad professor is born!

mrsdonkeybucket · 08/07/2011 23:16

Got it in one.

OhYouBadBadCrookshanks · 08/07/2011 23:18

Will Self is almost incomprehensible.

crazynanna · 08/07/2011 23:18

New Sketch idea? Smile

OhYouBadBadCrookshanks · 08/07/2011 23:19

Well done Justine :) you did very well. Completely comprehensible unlike others on the panel.

Ponders · 08/07/2011 23:19

I hope Steve Coogan got 3x everybody else's fees

thefirstMrsDeVere · 08/07/2011 23:19

Will self is like that bald bloke who used to be on the tv a lot when I was a kid. He used to speak a strange gobbledegook. He made a whole career out of it.

What was his name?.....

gilbertta · 08/07/2011 23:19

@ Jajas - Cheers!
@Eighties chick - Cameron interview smacked of 'he deserved a second chance, but sadly, because he is from Basildon, not Chipping Norton, we had to feed him to the pack to protect our own arses...'

Nick Clegg is now in the Indy saying some quite pertinent things. Perhaps he is finally growing a spine after a year in govt?

ThisIsANiceCage · 08/07/2011 23:20

Standing ovation for Justine! And Wine. Much Wine.

Hassled · 08/07/2011 23:21

Will Self, for example, is a twat. Why use a word of two syllables when you can impress us all with your intimate knowledge of the OED?

But yes, Justine did well. And Coogan did righteous indignation well.

travellingwilbury · 08/07/2011 23:22

Thank goodness Justine can speak like a normal human , Will Self just talks in a different language to me .

Ponders · 08/07/2011 23:22

Stanley Unwin?

Hassled · 08/07/2011 23:23

And I thought Harriet Harman was good earlier - honest, in that yes, the whole balance of power with the media was wrong during the Labour years and they should have corrected it.

teej · 08/07/2011 23:23

will self amused me Blush and he's right, you know - insofar as the banks and mp expenses go - plus ca change....
why will murdoch be any different?

travellingwilbury · 08/07/2011 23:24

Yes ponders that is him , I was brain wracking / racking ?

Pannus · 08/07/2011 23:26

Thank you Justine x You were frankly amazing under that amount of pressure. You kept to a point and bloody well did not back down. Will Self - looked and spoke like a junky. Steve Coogan obviously self-assured and a bit let down by the fact he wanted to punch Mcmullen lights out, and Greg Dyke -er who??!
