NOTW 'misogynist rag' - Steve Coogan

BornSicky · 08/07/2011 22:46

watching. figure justine will be on in the "has this change media culture" section.

Coogan is speaking well so far.

Jajaswolefwoman · 08/07/2011 22:47

They've not mentioned her, hope she's still on

EightiesChick · 08/07/2011 22:47

My Twitter is broken - must be melting down. Not even fail whale.

changeforthebetter · 08/07/2011 22:47

Need to go to bed but must go and watch Justine MN wield shortbread in the face of evil media empire............... Grin

Glad to know that silly drunk man is a for-example - consider ignored Grin

Camerondiazepam · 08/07/2011 22:50

So Rebekah Brookes stood up in front of all the NotW staff and said "this hasn't exactly been a great week for me"? Maybe not Rebekah but you still have a fucking job!

Terribletriplets · 08/07/2011 22:50

In my opinion, the principle characters should not resign, they should be tried. Getting them to resign, for whatever face saving reason, would get them off the hook.

teej · 08/07/2011 22:50

watching newsnight - does Harriet Harman really think it's a good line to say labour were scared of NI?!

thefirstMrsDeVere · 08/07/2011 22:50

Where is she? JUSTINE, JUSTINE, JUSTINE, JUSTINE!!!!

AwesomePan · 08/07/2011 22:51

I am wondering when the 'slick,fast-moving drama/thriller' filum will be out...and can I play Andy Coulson please?

EightiesChick · 08/07/2011 22:51

Yes, Rebekah, it's all about you, isn't it? Dan Wootton was the same though in his personal statement. Self-obsessed arses.

teej · 08/07/2011 22:52

snort - love coogan saying paul dacre v quiet

thefirstMrsDeVere · 08/07/2011 22:53

Call me shallow but that RB gets on my nerves because someone obviously once told her that her hair was her best feature.

I wish she would tie it up or get a decent bloody cut or something.

mrsdonkeybucket · 08/07/2011 22:54

New words for Rebekah to learn, w/b 11/7/11.

ILLEGAL

ETHICS

HUMILITY

Please can Rebekah learn the above words, we are only starting her on three, as she is finding life quite difficult at the moment. Could you please ensure that she knows what they mean, and put them in a sentence.

AwesomePan · 08/07/2011 22:55

equa opps sort of way? So there is depth and width to your shallowness.Grin

gilbertta · 08/07/2011 22:55

Rebekah Wade/Kemp/Brooks being kept on because she knows stuff which could put the Murdoch's in jail?

Incidentally, I am here, first time posting, because just seen Alton on C4 News.... :)

GetOrfMoiLand · 08/07/2011 22:55

Apologies for plugging my own thread but I have just started an 'open letter' to mumsnet so applaud them for their integrity in cancelling the Sky advertising right at the beginning of this thread - would appreciate your views www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/1255021-Mumsnets-integrity

Chipotle · 08/07/2011 22:56

Apparently a 63 year old man has been arrested for corruption... Roger Alton is 63!
Just call me Miss Marple!

Okay I'm getting carried away there are lots of 63 year old men out there. But wouldn't that be an interesting turn of events? If the Times have been at it to.

Gillg57 · 08/07/2011 22:56

Isn't it sweet to see the Prime Minister is so concerned about phone hacking........now! Surely there were enough communications people in the world that he could have recruited one not involved in a hacking scandal (as he knew at the time)?

It was James Murdoch or Rebekah Brooks who had the authority to pay out the sums involved.....why haven't they been interviewed by the police?

EightiesChick · 08/07/2011 22:58

Yes, like the implication that there were no better candidates than 'second chance' Coulson!

He is wearing a beige suit and blue tie AGAIN! And why does he keep looking at the floor all the time?

travellingwilbury · 08/07/2011 23:01
