Oh FGS.
A lack of fencing was key in us getting a great school for ds3 (all linked to old school being in a conservation area, couldn;t build a proper fence).
But you know this is just a visible barrier to inclusion, most are just as real but can;t be seen. An example is the school placements we are doing atm- Secondary.
ds1 needs a specialist base; so do 29 other kids and there are 2 funded palces.
So that goes no 1 but we know that there is a very low chance.
Then we put local school second- except that never goes to second places EVER, one of the best schools in Wales. Putting it second is about the same as asking for parsonal tuition from the Buddha.
The next closest school goes in third then and is by far the most likely. I will have to get him there at EXACTLY the same time ds3's special needs taxi arrives, and the same time as ds4 has to be in infant school / nursery placement.
Short of sendingan autistic kid alone on a bus I have given up on inclusion, tbh. It doesn't exist.
