I ask as I watch the rain pour down on the washing I put out a little while ago. (kind hoping it'll pass off in a short while!)

For the record I won't rewash.

No.

I'd leave it out until the sun came out again the next day and dried it off.

no no no
I do far too much washing anyway

I think conditioner is worse than ash

Hullygully · 26/04/2010 16:30

I would because of all the acid slowburning up the clothes. I read a book on it.

TabithaTwitchet · 26/04/2010 16:55

If it is really really wet then I furiously drag it down from the line, rinse and spin in the washing machine, hang it back out. Otherwise it takes so long to dry I end up with a backlog and no clean tops for work.
If it just gets a bit wet I leave it there.

MamaMtundu that was supposed to be bold - why dodnt it work?

Mumcentreplus · 26/04/2010 17:08

I dont re-wash I do rinse...it smells funny otherwise..

MamaMtundu · 28/04/2010 12:47

hmmm .... I think I was maybe having a bit of a moment of crazy volcanic ash paranoia

pippop1 · 28/04/2010 17:28

I reckon the rain gets the creases out for you, as long as its hung up properly in the first place. I will only hang up once so would never take it in if it rained as I would have to hang it up again inside. This shows my v low standards or my v efficient use of time.

minimamoth · 28/04/2010 17:32

volcaic ash in rain hmm. washing machine would not fly then.

Cies · 28/04/2010 17:38

NO. But then I have a cover for my washing line that stops the clothes getting wet in the first place. It means that I hang the washing out every single day of the year come rain or shine, and as long as it isn't below zero it all dries in at least 24 hours.
