Hi, DS2's assessment was fine, nothing major tbh, which i kind of expected but DH was a bit let down.
They gave us some ideas of things to do with him, and we'll go back in a month. As he's changing every day it's hard to know what he needs other than time.
And they gave me a new folder to record his progress

Tues:

  • DH up first DONE
  • breakfast DONE
  • all dressed DONE
  • general tidy pre-cleaners DONE
  • strip beds & find clean bedding DONE
  • ds1 to pre-sch DONE
  • DH, me & DS2 to DS2's rehab assessment DONE
  • collect ds1 DONE
  • lunch & tidy kitchen DONE
  • DH to work DONE
  • swap over bathmats/towels
  • afternoon plan? must try and do some jobs
  • put too small boys clothes in loft
  • get file down for DH (if he can tell me which one)
  • fill out form & cheque for Sing & Sign
  • start on new file for DS2 (a rather huge one!)
  • tea x 3 (pasta)
  • boys bath & bed
  • orchestra

Ongoing:

  • get photos of family & hang them up
  • get on with friend's family tree
  • transfer all family trees over to Mac software
  • then go through 1911 census
  • sort out security light outside
  • clean carpets (get someone in?)
  • contact new dentist & see if we can register
  • read book from library about 'brain plasticity'
  • contact handyman re new list of jobs for him
  • clear email inbox (17)
  • write Big List (big toy sort out, kitchen cupboards sort out, check cats dates for jabs (get worming/flea dropsGotFleaDrops), big bedding sort out) Started
  • fix curtains in my room (again)
  • return any borrowed stuff (DVDs, books, etc)
  • photos off camera (maybe even upload & order online prints)
  • tidy kitchen pinboard
  • make GP appt to discuss coming off ADs
  • boil Mooncup
  • find baby bjorn for an MN friend

JKS sounds positive on DS. Slowly but surely progressing! .

Jolene2 · 12/01/2010 13:38

Ooh, fellow list makers. What a joy to find you all. Hope ok to join in.

  1. Book doc's appt to get results of scan (poss return of PCOS)DONE!!

  2. Washing (DH's sport stuff done but sons' clothes and all towels still to do. Boo)

  3. Pay school dinner money (done!)

  4. Small, not very exciting supermarket shop (done)

  5. Ask scary lady in knitting shop to help me understand instructions in Shaun the Sheep kit (done. My preconceptions have been shattered, she's not at all scary!)

Slight domestic panic as health visitor meant to be coming tomorrow morning to check on my progress (Have PND, not entirely convinced her visits help. Feel sure coffee & cake with friends far superior remedy). Anyway, as she will be here, have to tackle at least some of the chaos....

  1. Hoover (still in cupboard)

  2. Washing up (1/2 done)

  3. Put all elder son's dinosaurs away (done but they'll all be out again by 4pm...)

  4. clear books/mugs/magazine/pens/knitting/dinosaurs/strange collection of odd socks off the various surfaces

  5. Clean bathroom (might defer until tomorrow and just hope HV doesn't go in there...)

  6. Clean kitchen floor

  7. cook chicken casserole

  8. go to doc's appointment with 7 months old baby and 4 1/2 year old son. That'll be no stress at all, ha ha ha

  9. Wash elder son's hair (which will turn into a wrestling match)

  10. collapse in a heap

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 12/01/2010 14:18

Welcome Jolene2. Thats a lovely looking list you've got.

I have a DD of 12 weeks.
I had PND with my DS who is now 3.5 and agree with your comment the health visitor check ups. They are just making sure you are ok but can be irritating. I am chuffed that I haven't got PND this time (so far ).

Good luck with the doc's appointment.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 12/01/2010 14:40

Welcome Jolene WE are having chicken casserole too.

What a dreary day...still, at least the bin men came!

Ali ds is a little better but still quite crazy. He has these episodes where he just goes mad and tears around lke a tornado tearing the house apart. I am being strict with the naughty step atm the only problem with that is a strip of loose wallpaper that is very attractive to little fingers.

All up, dressed, breakfasted - DONE
Washing up - DONE
Wipe kitchen sides and dining table ? DONE
Load of washing in ? DONE
Load of washing hung up ?
Go to toddlers ? DD DOESNT WANT TO
Try other toddler group ? DONE NO SPACES
Go to shop -
Put away clean washing ?
Hoover downstairs ? DONE
Clean loo ?DONE
Book window cleaner -
Lunch ? DONE
EXERCISE ?
DRINK MORE (not alcohol!) ? DOING
Make wax melts for friend x2 ?
File the pile ?
Bins out- DONE
Cook dinner ?
Wash up -
Bath and bed dc?s-
Tidy kitchen and sitting room -

Sometimes I wish I could leave the dc home alone for 10 mins and just run to the shop without them instead of it taking 10 mins to get everyone's coat and boots on and then walkng at toddler speed then trying to hold on to the shopping and stop ds clearing the shelves/running out of the shop at the same time...

FreakoidOrganisoid · 12/01/2010 14:42

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 12/01/2010 15:40

Welcome Jolene . Couldn't agree more re. HVs - coffee, cake and a good natter do a much better job!

JKS - ooh I love a new folder/book - it's like the first day of a new term! Was DH expecting something different from the assesment?

Freakoid - glad DS is improving a bit! Does H have them ever so that you can have a bit of time to yourself?

We have had no bins either this week. I looked on the council website and apparently there are some areas within the borough that haven't had a collection since before Christmas! So looks like we are a long way down the list!!!

Hello ladies.

Feel the need for a list today

Dr sent me to A&E yesterday, which was rubbish and cocked up the day. Was so shattered when i got home that i was in bed by 6.50 (didn't sleep til 9.30) i just couldn't sit upright any longer! The outcome of the visit; (c&p as posted on other thread last night)

They have no idea why my lips are going purple for long periods of time, or why it has only come on with the pregnancy. I have had more bloods and an ECG done. The bloods hadn't arrived back by the time they said i could leave but not too worried about them as i had blood taken last week anyway. The ECG however is abnormal, the Dr thinks it is normal for me though iyswim? Apparently there is a small amount of the population who have this condition (not life threatening) where their heart rate(or whatever shows up on ecg) is that of a much younger person, so in my case a child. Not sure why (or what it is called) but it shouldn't be the reason for the purple lips. Still have to see the cardiologist in feb though. They were not worried about the baby and will carry on with that side of things as normal. TBH, not a lot they could do at this stage wrt the baby anyhow. Hopefully hear from the MW in the next week or so and then a scan in a couple of weeks.

So there you go, most odd

The list!

Get DD dressed
Go to stay and play
Get some bits in town
Have spatone and folic acid
Lunch
Sort out huge pile of clean washing (enormous!)
Do horses
Tidy living room
Get DH to hoover
Put clean throws on sofa
Clean bathroom.

Morning. Its snowing again here (although sure it said it wouldn't be bad in North Wales ). DS wanted to walk to school (10 mins) so i put DD in a front carrier and put DH's coat over the top and off we went. Thankfully some kind soul gave DD and I a lift back. Its like something from Dr Zhivago here!

3 months in to Maternity Leave and I'm feeling a little bored (snow, staying in etc. not helping). Ideas anyone?

JKS - re phone. How annoying.

Alice - Hope you are OK. Bet the drs are intrigued with your symptoms.
