Plum What an absolute nightmare for you. Definitely get a dryer, how on earth you are meant to dry anything in this weather I have no idea. We bought one just before I had DS and I'm so grateful, it's a godsend.

Trip to Sainsbury's was a nightmare! It is literally 3 minutes walk from our house, but up a slope which is totally iced over and like a death trap - so we decided to drive round. The pharmacy was closed due to 'adverse weather' WTF? The whole shop was open and fully stocked, lazy stupid man .
On the way home, we had to have people push the car for us to get back into our road because there is so much snow, we were completely stuck!
And, I intended for us to get one or two things and we ended up spending as much as I do on a whole weekly shop from Ocado. I need to go and look at the receipt, have no idea how it came to so much!

Well my drier went a full 20mins without stopping so I got 2 single fitted sheets dried

Well I have the cold and I have zapped my energy for today
So going to put dcs to bed

We have the panto tomorrow remember dd1 got ticket from the arthritis group for children so will get more washing done tomorrow,
MIL said I could drop some off for her to dry while she is minding ds &dd2,
then she is going to bring them to meet us after, as the group are providing a meal and childrens entertainment for the whole family after in a hotel,
they hold the AGM and you pay £14 membership and they hold a picnic in the summer, and lots of other activities, so I think I will donate abit more

Have large mental shopping list in head. May send DH out to buy stuff seeing as he'll be swanning about enjoying himself tomorrow .

Esp at this time of year

I now have 7lbs to lose to get back to pre-xmas/pre-hosp weight, but not planning to start until next week when i hope all goodies will be gone.
And i want to dig out the Wii so need to start adding it to my list!

HMHB - it wasn't really panic buying, although we did get a lot of non-food stuff. Have looked at the reciept and we were overcharged massively for dishwasher tablets - almost £16 for 44!! Am sure that is not right so will go in there again tomorrow to check.

JKS - no I didn't get my script. The next nearest chemist is a drive away and we needed to get back and get DS his tea. I wouldn't let DH go on his own after the debacle of trying to get the car back into the road! Will go and get it tomorrow, will only have missed 2 days so not too bad.

Wasting - yay well done! That is fab. I have been utterly shite with food this week but you have spurred me on with that!

Morning all, My heating is gone so it is very cold in the kitchen, so couldnt type any lists as my hands are freezing. Government here has closed all schools until Thurs . How am I going to stop them fighting until then!

Chaos reigns in the Biscuit household.

The hot water pipes are frozen.
The catflap has frozen (much to the indignity of the cat)
The heating is being v. odd. Seems to be hotter than it should but it may be trying to fight off the freeze since the boiler is in the garage.
DH has gone skiing.
House an utter tip.

So don't know how much I am going to get done today either.

Right. Things have calmed down a bit now. DS watching WALLE, DD asleep so will try to sort the house a bit.

Temp in garage is minus 2 so have put heater in there to hopefully defrost pipes without too much trouble .

DH is off to get my tablets in a minute, have realised I've been without them for 3 days now and it's starting to show

HMHB sorry your pipes are frozen, washer and dw should be ok though provided you are getting cold water out of the taps.

CC I don't have my heating on atm but it would be awful if I couldn't and to face an evening and night without Actually don't think I'd be able to get up in the morning if I didn't set the timer for the heating to come on an hour or so earlier!
