I didn't make the penguins or the polar bears. Should've done though as ended up having to buy 2 boxes of christmas cupcake mix and 2 packs of decorations just to get them all!

DD has been in the wars a bit today. Combination of being very tired and playing at a friends house. Bloody lip and a bruised cheek. She has been staying up late playing with her toys in her room so going to move a lot out this evening. She is now currently dancing round the living room with her wellies and sunglasses on

Fil came this morning, so DH and i were up at 7 running round making the house look vaguely presentable. Bloody shattered now and feeling sicky so spending the morning in front of cbeebies. My friend is coming in about an hour or so for coffee and cake.

Bloody FIL! Our conservatory is a bit of a utility/dumping ground atm, so to stop him going into the kitchen (which opens up onto conservatory) i told DH to get the breakfast all ready and put in the living room. DH is just finishing doing that and FIL comes in "i've got presents, i'll just put them in here...Oh, there is no room" Why would you put presents in a room DD could get to? He always finds an excuse to have a nose in there and it makes me a bit He paid for it all to be done, so kind of feels he can. We bloody live here!!!

Sorry rant over just feeling tired, sick and grumpy

Alice - at your FIL. DH needs to put his foot down! My parents gave me the deposit for our first house, but they've never felt it entitled them to anything. I don't worry about them seeing the place in a mess though, my Mum knows what it's like to be run ragged

Just read your thread Clairey, sounds like a nightmare with DS. I agree with the others who said its probably to do with the recent upheaval. He might be finding a way to express emotion. My DS has been naughtier due to DD's arrival. I've been trying to spend more focused time with him so he doesn't feel left out. I hope your DS is just going through a phase.

If any consolation my DS managed to give me a chinese burn on by scraping his shoe down my wrist this morning while I was putting his shoes on.

CC - hope they dish out mince pies. DH taking his SN kids to a panto today. They love it but its logistically tricky to do.
