Barf - soak in bleach or milton in the bath

whomovedmychocolate · 19/07/2009 14:42

I just read your other post and am now PMSL at you!

Fill the bath with hot water, throw in a dishwasher tablet and stir with a wooden spoon. Then leave for an hour.

cheesesarnie · 19/07/2009 14:43

ive tried!!!!

so it is disgusting yes?dh said but it washes germs off dishes

BonsoirAnna · 19/07/2009 14:44

No - a very good idea indeed, especially if you put it on the intensive or hottest wash.

cheesesarnie · 19/07/2009 14:44

i'll try dishwasher tablet in the bath

If it is that rank chuck it out and buy a cheap one from a pound store.

jooseyfruit · 19/07/2009 14:44

People put mooncups and bog brushes in, there was a thread about it once.

Do it, it wouldn't bother me, as long as it was on a 65 degree wash.

ChasingSquirrels · 19/07/2009 14:45

I have, but then I put my mooncup in there aswell.

cheesesarnie · 19/07/2009 14:45

its getting near rankiness.i did buy another-god knows why-he prefers to pee in his pants rather than potty- but he likes the almost rank potty as its bigger and comfier, its one of those seat ones.i cant afford to buy another like that.

Yuck.

Mind you, I once yelped at dh and leaped across the room to stop him putting the cat's bowls in the dishwasher. Guess some of the posters on this thread might think I was being a bit fussy...

cheesesarnie · 19/07/2009 14:47

so people do?
hmm,i could use it only for yucky things and re discover the art of washing dishes in the sink?(i dont think i could actually)

OP posts:
ChasingSquirrels · 19/07/2009 14:48

oh, I did dog bowls in there aswell, and chicken feed containers.

Dumbledoresgirl · 19/07/2009 14:52

I always put my cats' dishes in the dishwasher.

I would baulk at the idea of putting a potty or a loo brush into one though. Actually, tbh, I am struggling to understand how a potty can get "rank" if it is wiped after each use. Would you care to elaborate?

cheesesarnie · 19/07/2009 14:55

seriously it it rinsed and wiped(with a bathroom wipe) after each use.soaked over night once a week with washing powder(probably wrong thing).we are not dirty people.it gone a bit yellowy in places[vomit]

OP posts:
ChasingSquirrels · 19/07/2009 14:55

no, wouldn't put a loo brush in.
And also struggling to think how a potty gets "rank", hence why I would have no problem putting on in.

If the plastic is discolouring, I don't think putting it in the dishwsher will make much difference. (in other words, don't bother!)

cheesesarnie · 19/07/2009 14:59

i never said it was rank.it just needs something extra!

OP posts:
cheesesarnie · 19/07/2009 15:01

korma id love for him to use the loo.he does sometimes-probably more than potty but i like to have it just incase.maybe i should just chuck it.

OP posts:
Dumbledoresgirl · 19/07/2009 15:02

Cheesesarnie, you said it was "getting near rankiness". TBH, I think it sounds ok if it is only discolouring. Is the user of it your last child? It won't be long before he is not needing it anymore.

cheesesarnie · 19/07/2009 15:04

so i did-whoops.someone else said rank first-im so tired!

yes last child,no more potty training for me.
