Monday Flylady - Tell me why I don't like Monday's

Wolfcub · 12/01/2009 07:33

morning all mad I appreciate how you feel, I have similar problems with dp, he doesn't understand the need for consistent routine and then loses his rag when ds starts playing up - our current bedtime nightmare being a case in point.

off to work. See you all later

OP posts:
NAB3lovelychildren · 12/01/2009 07:52

I have got to keep very busy today and get this house tidy.

DH is working from home this morning so will have to send him to work in our room as I cn't get on with him in the lounge.

scattyspice · 12/01/2009 07:52

Morning all. Thanks for the thread wolf (have a good day at work).

Mad - I agree with Anns, Swan and wolf. I think most mums find it hard to 'let go' of their 'methods' and let Dad take the reins, but I think you have too, and as in my experience, you may be pleasently surprised.

I am a bit spaced out today as DD was up at 5am!

To do
soft play party after school
take car to garage for MOT
buy milk and bread

BBlater

ShannaraTiger · 12/01/2009 07:53

Morning all
Thanks for thread Wolf
and thanks for missions IV & Shannara

TMH I read your post last night and have pondered on it. As mothers it is really hard to let someone else take the strain - especially if they don't accurately replicate the way we would do something.
It is the only tension DH and I have.

With regard to your posts this morning - please be kind to yourself, it is good that you are anxious - it means you fully understand what is going to happen. We will all help and support you as much as we can.

Have done quite alot this morning

Right must get on I've been back from dropping off ellie at preschool for 30 mins. SO far I've phone my mum & Sister.scoffed to slices of toast & bananan. I have losts to do before I leave to collect her at 1215. Also my DW is finally knackered its been on the blink since before Xmas. So looks like the recent money raise by selling items on ebay & ellie's first pram will have to go towards that & not a treat.

Have a great day.x

Morning all - oh gosh afternoon that should be LOL
wolf thanks for thread
NYNMH not sure what op you're having, but definately normal to be nervous.
I'm sure your DH will be fine when it comes to it - but I know what you mean. I find it best to actually go out if I want to leave DH in charge - that way I can't be tempted to interfere! But as others have said even though he does things differently, he manages in his way, and kids are always fine.A few yrs agio I took my dad to Rome for the Weekend for his 70th B'day. Dh stayed home with our (then) 3 kids. I was really worried, but they all survived! there was more Tv watching than was ideal, and he did forget to take DD 1 to nursery on the mon afternoon - but they all survived LOL

Hoping to gets lots done today. Have only 2 children at home and no lunch time drop off/pick up for anyone so feeling strangely liberated!
Done :
All morning stuff....beds made, S&S, etc..
Lunch stuff done...DW on
WM on (again)
Dinner in slow cooker (saus cass)
Been shopping to get DD 1 new swimming costume for swimming leons on Wed. Also got 3 new under bed storage boxes for toys in DD 3 and 4 's room , oh and a new hand blender that I've been after for ages!

To do:
dry washing to sort and put away
Going to do some of home blessing hour (wont get all done I doubt cause Dd 4 wants to "help!")
Bathroom mission.

Busy evening - rainbows, scouts etc.... so need to have things organised before school pick up...
Well spose I should atually DO something now instead of chatting bout it LOL
BBL!

TheMadHouse · 12/01/2009 12:13

Afternoon all

I am feeling much better about things now

Starbear No my two do not really play iondependantly (to much fighting). I give them a cloth and they help

Galen Double mastectomy and reconstruction

*Greyskull/Swan DH has banned wallpaper - he hates it with a vengence.

Lunch is out of the way, so I am going to crack on with the zone clean (which will take all week)

I have washer on (DS1 got mud all over coat at school)

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 12/01/2009 12:20

TMH I am allowed it on ONE wall which is all I would have wanted anyway but he thinks it is his idea.

better go - late for Messy play set up but I guess my heart just isn't in it any more

swanriver · 12/01/2009 12:24

Dh chose the wallpaper. He likes things to be rather dense and ornamental...He also likes lots of red. We used to have red worktops and red cupboards. I removed them. He was cross but now resigned to more airy boring schemes.

grouchyoscar · 12/01/2009 12:27

Hello all

Thank Kelly etc for a bedtime routine! I did a bit extra last night so this morning went so smoothly. Good job as I was roped into something at the Children's centre

So just popping by to say Hi, grab my sandwich then off to the school for something else I'm involved with

Then collect Ed. Ed time, make tea, make butties, sweep and mop the kitchen
Clothes out, shine sink then...Bed

My life is so.....

swanriver · 12/01/2009 12:33

Off to school now too feeling a bit like my octopus tentacles are getting twisted.

Still, rubbish out
porch swept
saucepans of old food in garden dealt with..
fridge is organised. 20 pieces of old cheese rounded up
I now going to MAKE MY BED and run upstairs.

scattyspice · 12/01/2009 12:45

swan and grouchy schools would not cope without people like you .

mad I don't blame you for feeling anxious. This is probably the worst part (the waiting). Be kind to yourself .

Feeling absolutely shattered now!

BBL

ShannaraTiger · 12/01/2009 12:57

Afternoon all

TMH glad you're feeling more together again. I'd be a nervous wreck if I was in your situation. Dp can only just manage both kids for 1 hour by himself, they wind him up too much. vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv, ds's opinion!
IV horrible weather here as well.
Hi Starbear,
Greyskull nothing wrong with net time
EHM is a DW essential?
swan I'm going to watch Mamma Mia, despite Dp's protests!
galen just wondering how old all your dc's are?
Grouchy you're always so busy helping everyone, makes me feel very guilty.

Didn't get much done this morning.
Bleached/ demoulded kitchen window. Need to do the bathroom next.
Friend popped round for cuppa, Ds fell asleep on my lap , didn't make it to the rhyme time group.
Ds has just finished 2 peanut butter rice cakes, hopefully his tummy will be ok.
Now need to do the hoovering that i was planning on this morning.
Will do the bathroom tomorrow, it's so small I find it easier to clean it in one go.

Have a good afternoon everyone
BBL
