Morning all

Struggling to get my arse in gear this morning. DS1 slept till 5am and then had a hugh meltdown. Woke up the whole house, DH got him back to his bed and asleep, cue all sleeping in, cue manic running round, but all it meant was I had to drive him to preschool rather than walk - so flying is working.

Hoever, mum is not up, so just rang her and it means shopping will be slightly delayed, so I have

Washer on
DW emptied
General tidy
breakfast pots washed
kitchen tops wiped
beds made

SO DS2 is watching the wiggles whilst I have a cuppa and MN

Thank for thread, afraid can't do links.
This morning I have dressed three kids, and taken to school, and kept the peace with dd who was complaining about her tights...
Otherwise, absolutely nothing except breakfast dishes in sink.
Off to work now earlier than expected, as need to cover for sick librarian. Need to get dressed properly first. no socks yet.

Back after lunch

Tickle · 08/01/2009 09:19

morning! managed my babysteps this morning - getting dressed

Got 2 'big ones' off to school
Took 2 'little ones' to kindergarten, and stayed a while as it is ds2's first week.

Feeling a bit under the weather, so will make tea and do thursday's mission.

see you later

Morning all!

TMH hope your ds is feeling better soon - collarbones are painful things

Trying to have a more productive day today - had bad news about a friend losing her baby yesterday which put me on a downer for the rest of the day , but trying to stay positive, as well as shining my sink.

Glad it's the kitchen this week as it's the only zone I feel I have a grip on (perhaps because it's where I spend most of my time). Does anyone lese feel like that?

Anyway, have a good day, eveyone

Morning all!

So far:
All up and dressed, fed etc..
Breakfast cleared away
WM on
Bathrooms S&S
Beds made
4 to school - dd3's first day of reception - bit stressful!
Chilli for tea in slow cooker
Snack for DD4 - now watching TV - I told her it was banned , but she seemed to think that meant broken and went and switched it on and came running in saying
"see mommy it's not banned it's working"!!! So cute I'm letting her have 1/2 an hour!

Now drinking cup of proper coffee eating a scone! ( trouble with baking is it's no good for my diet!) having MN time!
Still quite exhausted today despite slightly better night with DS

Need to:
Remember to pick DD 3 up at lunch time!!

Hoover lounge

Tidy my bedroom

Doesn't sound much?.... you haven't seen my bedroom LOL ! Got annoyed at wasting 10 mins searching through huge heap of clothes for my clean jeans this morning - holding up my FLY babysteps - so it has to be done. Will take all day, and possibly tomorrow and Sat too- so no other big projects for today! We'll see how far I get!

Have great Flying ladies!

Thanks for the thread TMH Hope the day improves
for your friend Bella
Hi Swan x
Hope you feel better soon Tickle

Kids are dropped at school, walked on via the village shop to get bread I haven't used the car at all this week and am feeling much better for getting out in the fresh air more. I might head out later though with some stuff for the charity shop.

I am going to tackle the mess that is ds room today. It's not too bad but we have lost a library book so I need to have a sort out of his bookcase and would like to have a quick tidy-up in his wardrobe too

islandofsodor · 08/01/2009 09:40

Morning all.

Struggle to get out of bed this morning. Ds had a disturned night, possibly after effects of cold he had, MMR he had a week ago and getting back into the school routine. He had a bit of a temp last night.

Children's washed/showered and dressed
Hot Spot (well I threw a pile of old cards out if that counts)
School Run
Into work toast and cup of tea

To Do

When I get home from work
Put a wash through and iron kids school clothes
Tea (dh may do the children's but he working from 5.45pm tonight)
Get children ready for bed
Lay out clothes for tomorrow
Hot Spot
Tea dishes and clean sink

galen · 08/01/2009 09:41

bella sorry to hear about your friend.
Kitchen is also my best room at the moment after a big mega clean out last week - also glad it's the kitchen this week. Anything else would be too scarey LOL

intravenouscoffee · 08/01/2009 10:03

Morning all.

Lazy morning here, DD was up twice in the night and then slept late this morning so only jusy getting into gear. Morning routine underway and then heading to the library and to do some other errands.

Mad Hope your day improves!
Bella Sorry to hear about your friend. My kitchen is passable at the moment but keep finding things that need doing iyswim. Whole house is a bit like that at the moment actually!

getting into gear here too - mucked out ponis now back in the warm

About to attack kids' bedroom. They are all in one room, as we are renovating the house... DH is on the roof as I type - the kids are dying to get their own rooms, but it won't be til summer.

Tickle · 08/01/2009 10:30

Ruby you have reminded me that I have to call the insurance co. - thanks!

bella29 · 08/01/2009 10:31

Oh Ruby, I am sorry to hear about your client owing you money. Hope it's not as bad as it looks at the moment. We have our own business too and it is very tough at the moment.

I wish some good news would pop up for all of us!

bella29 · 08/01/2009 10:32

Tickle - is ponis a typo for ponies or for penis?

Just want to be clear here

Morning.

I am failing to FLY with dp in all day, but will be back properly if when he gets another job...

galen · 08/01/2009 11:12

Ruby - sounds stressful - hope it all turns out OK
tickle ponies LOL

Well have made a start on my pit bedroom!
You can at least see the floor now, well on one side of the room at least!
Have had to stop as DS needed to go down for a nap ( he sleeps in our room)
So off to play barbies with DD 4 for a bit. She is currently wandering round with a duster, swiping at all the doors muttering "tut tut, that's a bit mucky"!! Think my cleaning is contagious LOL

sagacious · 08/01/2009 11:26

Hi all ruby thats very crap
bella sorry to hear of your friends loss

Was meant to go to a new pilates class this morning but I've cricked my back (bending down to get the cereal bowls (must move them higher up!

So I'm grumpy

But:

Have sorted/culled dd's fancy dress box
Sorted and paid for annual travel insurance
Put a load of washing on (WM still temperamental .. only 1 month out of sodding guarentee

Off for tea and will then look at mission

tigger32 · 08/01/2009 12:00

Morning all,

Sorry to hear about all the news today, hope things start to get better, 2009 isn't great for us either so far. FIL phoned yesterday to say his sister is very poorly in hospital and that she is unlikely to make the weekend! I'm frantically trying to make arrangement for the children for a few days so that dh and i can go and be with his family for a few days (its a 5 hour drive so can't really do it in a day.

Anyway I'm still trying to fly and am managing to keep to my routines but that's it at the minute.

Off to visit a friend who's husband left her last week with 3 small children!

Will try and put a list together for the week and pop back on later.

sorry for rambling!

TheNewYearNewMadHouse · 08/01/2009 12:02

Morning

Back from shopping, collectin DS1 from Preschool (he had a much better morning) and putting said shopping away.

Lunch is nearly ready

Ruby How pants, it is worse when someone is doing it deliberatly rather than just the climate - so to speak. Dh would gladly pass them on - its not his normal work, but as there as so many they share them out through the practice.

Bella I am sorry for your friend

Sag Trying to do to much excercise maybe

Gallen Pace yourself

Waves to everyone else.

Scatty I do have another buggy - a Mclaren which has been at mums, but I have collected it this morning. School run is up a large hill. DS2 couldnt walk it as the speed I need, so he is still in buggy up

OP posts:
islandofsodor · 08/01/2009 12:05

Dh has just phone me at work to say he picking ds up from school.

Maybe I shouldn't have sent him in but its so hard to tell.

Poor duck, think his MMR has knocked him for six.

grouchyoscar · 08/01/2009 12:39

Hello all

Thanks for the thread mad Ruby That is crap

Bella [sad for your friend

Plus it's my 14th Wedding Anniversary

islandofsodor · 08/01/2009 12:40

Happy Anniversary

bella29 · 08/01/2009 12:45

Happy Anniversary, Oscar!

Hope you'll all be proud of me. I have:

made leek & potato soup
made fishcakes
made banana bread
walked dogs
washing
made inroads into my huge pile of office work

Amazing what a large pot of coffee can do!

Planning some domestic chores later, honest!
