Morning all

Welcome to the fly babies. At the weekend flying is kept to the minimum, so we can enjoy family time.

We do post, but a lot less.

DH has done all the morning routines
I have had a lie in (my sat treat)
Curry was lovley - I made naan's too with poppy seeds yummy

3 out of 4 of mine are entertaining themselves on the PS2. DD1 feels a bit better! She decided she was well enough to have the treat i bought them!

I had better do the washing or they will have no uniform in their draws for tomorrow.

I wish i was better at house work and keeping the place tidy.

Hi GO.

Well done grouch

I was very naughty and bought some boots....not too bad...only £12 (you know the Ugg style ones) have to say I don't really like the style of the Ugg boots but they are soooo comfortable and warm!! I've been umming and aaahing over getting some for months.

tortoise · 16/11/2008 16:24

Sound nice Luda and good price too. I don't like the way people slop around in them but they do look like they would be nice as slippers.

Half the washing is put away. DD2's draws are all messed up so need to empty them and redo it all. Maybe tomorrow!
DS2 doesn't want to put his away! Even though he has been told plenty of times today and even told no PC until it is done!

grouchyoscar · 16/11/2008 16:32

D'ya mind if I do a bit of bragging about Ed please (like yeah, I never usually ask ) I'm just so proud of pfb and I want to share (yep it's probably really petty but it's all new and shiny to me)

AnneOfAvonlea · 16/11/2008 16:38

brag away grouchy....

quiet here. dd1 tired and has cough. dd2 snuggly with temp of 39 atm.

grouchyoscar · 16/11/2008 17:00

Those of you who have persisted with me know I've constantly fretted about Ed's development. Looking for resources to help him with his reading, numeracy and writing etc etc. Seems I've worried for nothing.

His parents' evening thing was fantastic. He was praised to high heaven for his attitude and his academic ability. He's in the highest groups for numeracy and literacy.

His handwriting has gone from huge and florrid to small and controlled. He's writing on lines and in rows. I even gave away some of the stuff I bought for him over the summer as he no longer needed them.

His teacher really complimented his reading. When I said he was finding his books too easy, she offered to send him the ones he does with his group and also a harder one which was nice.

And on Thursday he got 10/10 in his spelling test including 'beard' 'coin' and 'foil'.

I worry for nothing and I should make parenting easier on myself

AnneOfAvonlea · 16/11/2008 17:19

grouchy, that's great Is he in year 1? I cant remember.

wendylanguage · 16/11/2008 17:58

hello all,
had a busy weekend. Me and Dh managed to go and buy some toys for DD's birthday yesterday, and then we took a flask and went for a walk in the park CHILD FREE! It was fabulous, darling!
Then his Mum cooked for us all (yummy but calorific!) and we nipped home for an hour, and moved all our bedroom furniture into DD's room, and all hers into DS's room, so they are sharing now. I have HAD ENOUGH of the mould on our bedroom wall and just had to move rooms. Going to phone the Estate agent this week and tell them off (again).
Well off to have tea now
speak to you all tomorrow
PS HURRAH for Bianca!

TheMadHouse · 16/11/2008 19:17

Groucy Well done for pacing yourself and a big well done for being a fabby mum and also give Ed a pat on the back from TheMadHouse

Wendy Sounds like a lovley day

Boys have been really naughty this afternoon, me and DH are beside ourself with them.... I hope to see the funny side tomorrow

DS1 poured his milk all over the wood floor to ice scate (slip on)
DS2 went round sticking mini mashmallows all over the wall (chicken pocks)
Bath time was like nothing I have ever experianced
DS1 threw his lovley home made pie on the floor

Thruth is neither of them can cope with lack of sleep. Dh nearly lost his temper which is so unusual.

So FLy wise

Mopped the ground floor
Front room mat is in the wash
Bathroom wiped down - it looked like a swimming pool
Some mince pies froze
mincemeat in the oven
TD on
DW full
Boys clothes out for the morning
DH lunch made for tomorrow

I am going to have this cup of tea, amke sure they are asleep and go and have a relaxing bath.

Please remind me about my script in the morning

Yesterday was fabulous.. today.. we went to Mums for her birthday..
no flying done today at all...
eating left overs, looking at ironing pile.

DS2 has got a bad chest.. very wheezy, called NHS direct they said to call back if he gets loose and floppy and blue/grey around the mouth, but he is in bed so am I supposed to check on him all the time?

anyway off for now.
