Hi everyone

The finger painting went down well thanks for the idea Rowingboat !

Managed to clean the kitchen and tidy out a drawer while he was occupied!

Tiger- im on facebook but not in the mumsnet group . I'll have to see if I can find it. Can you do a search on there for groups?

Still have to clean the bathroom, hoover round, put ironing away and make up spare room. My mum's coming to stay for a week tomorrow which will be lovely ( she doesnt judge the tip!)She can also look after me as im having tooth out tomorrow. My friend tried to cheer me up about it by saying, " Well at least it wont be as bad as childbirth!" That doesnt exactly make me feel better!

lucysmam · 09/09/2008 15:00

hello hello hello!

I feel like a huge weight's been lifted this afternoon so me and lo are having the afternoon off and chilling to celebrate! The debt man was lovely, has applied for all kinds of grants to help with costs of water/electric/council tax for me, has written to Sky and told them to get lost because they just randomly charged me for something but I don't know what. He's stopped anyone taking money off oh's wages and got me 2 years to get sorted financially before anyone will start hassling me again I'm in a fabby mood!! Although I don't know how you're expected to be financially sorted with a house n kids to run

But I'm well chuffed. Just going to have a general potter round and tidy up I think while lo chills in front of Teletubbies with a flapjack & then I might even venture into play d'oh land with her this afternoon if I can find my huge plastic sheet anywhere

hope you are all ok, will catch up properly I promise later on! xx

lucysmam · 09/09/2008 15:01

oooh, before I forget, cafebistro I have a lovely BHS (I think) snowsuit which is absolutely gorgeous n I've never used it if it would be of use to you? I can't figure out how to upload pics onto here to show you anything though

Shannaratiger · 09/09/2008 15:10

cafe bistro yes just go to groups and type in Mumsnet.
lucysmam I'm so glad the meeting went well and he's managed to reduce your out goings/ debt.

BiancaCastafiore · 09/09/2008 15:35

Hello

I have been busy blitzing the house today and resisting putting pc on!

I am on facebook 'll have a look through the MN pages and see if I can spot any of you I know...(grouchy do you know my RL name?...I think I remember yours so will have a look for you )

lucysmam · 09/09/2008 15:55

Shannar it's brill. My outgoings are the same as they were but he's saved me a lot of stress and hassle n I've only seen him twice!

Didn't know there was a mumsnet facebook group, will have a look for that in a bit

Since I'm doing babysteps again, I'm debating going for a sleep, so I can get up and dressed again

Have tidied house up now, kicthen is still sorted from this morning, bathroom looks tidy for once have to have a word with oh about leaving razor lying around, let lo play with bath toys whilst tidying n turned around in time to catch her stroking lala with the blade end

Both bedrooms straightened up & chicken stock is now freezing.

Just what's for tea to decide on . . . maybe a cajun chicken salad or wraps with salad. Either way it's chicken or it needs chucking which I'd not be happy about

scattyspice · 09/09/2008 16:27

Hi again.

lucy good for you girl, you sound very relieved.

Done:

Facebook! I don't think I could cope LOL!

rowingboat · 09/09/2008 17:26

Hi everyone,
thank you all for telling off that horrible PMS! It seems to have taken the hint and has been keeping a low profile.
Grouchy sorry to hear your shed is cancelled. I'm sure you will find something else though. I even saw quite a nice shed in a Tesco book a while ago, there do seem to be quite a variety. Have you looked at Screwfix or Wickes? (sounding like I know what I'm talking about)
Lucys that is great news about the debts. I think I could do with something like that or I will never get out of my overdraft. How did you get the details for the bloke?
cafe I'm very impressed that you could leave your LO doing finger painting. I have to stand over mine with a big sponge and bucket of water if he even looks at paint.
We have just got back from a trip into town, John Lewis' and only three lying on the floor crying episodes so that was OK.
We went to real foods, does anyone have a branch near, they are such a good way of saving money on herbs and spices. If anyone wants a big bag of oregano or chamomile or something let me know and I will buy it for you and post it.
Bewilder are you feeling better now! What time did you get woken up?
I had a late one last night, started watching a programme about the world trade centre and sat there until almost 1am.
Will check out the facebook thing.

Jas · 09/09/2008 17:28

shanna- I think I'm in the mumsnet fb group....I'm friends with Bianca, and have bare feet on my profile pic

Sorry about my rubbish links rowingboat...you can tell I never check my posts

Very busy day, so I've only skimmed over the thread. Sorry if I've missed anything improtant.

GO I picked up your parcel today, and posted the cheque. I've resisted the urge to make it payable to Grouchy Oscar

Thanks

lucysmam · 09/09/2008 17:39

rowingboat I found him through my local job centre, they should be able to point you in the right direction. I just popped in and explained that things were getting on top of me, there should be someone who can help if the people on reception aren't much use (I had to see someone from another department ) He works for a volunteer group who advise people for free about the best way to tackle their debts. He was really helpful & all I had to do was sign a form saying I didn't mind him talking to or dealing with the people who I owe money to and he's done all the work for me.
lmao@ 3 crying on the floor episodes, I had the same thing in town with my lo after seeing the debt man, but I tend to giggle at her which doesn't help

what's real foods?

What's everyone else been up to today? I've been really lazy and not read thread from start, just the second page so probably missed a lot!

Right

bythepowerofgreyskull · 09/09/2008 17:49

In that case I just sent a message to a total stranger Jas !!!!

minorbird · 09/09/2008 18:11

Evening all, you all seem so productive and busy as ever. I spent the afternoon... playing on mumsnet games. But pulled myself together around 4pm and whizzed around the house, hoovered, did mission, and cooked dinner, fed DD and just about to start the night time routine. I was going to insert, 'glass of wine' into mine tonight, wonder if FLY lady likes a tipple.
