Hi everyone
Greyskull- sorry for your loss, hope your appointment goes ok..try not to worry.

Thanks Lucysmam for advice. Like you most of the clothes were presents...might put them in the freeads paper. I could keep hold of them but did that with DS's and they're still sat in the loft....such a shame.
I could always take them to oxfam or somewhere but could really do with the money.

Anyway....

Done-

Emptied D/w
Emptied clothes airer
Pulled up onions, beetroot and some spring onions (rinsed half of them)
Fed chup chups

To Do-

Tidy kitchen
More laundry
Put DD clothes away

sagacious · 03/09/2008 11:18

Morning all

greyskull sorry to hear your sad news
cafebistro you've reminded me I need to pick some tomatoes!

Have been busy today

Fridge cull
Sainsbos delivery and put away
1 load washing
Cleaned loo
Replaced loo roll

Coffee with friend
Investigated joining gym (going to check out with friend tommorrow)
5 min hotspot (main bedroom)

DD still being a little angel
All strangely calm in the Sag household

Waiting for plumber to come and give a quote for some heated towel rails.
DD off to nursery at 12.30

Might have a coffee...bliss

EustaciaVye · 03/09/2008 11:33

Greyskull - How sad Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow. I klnow you've been anxious for a while but it is a good step.

lucysmam · 03/09/2008 11:40

greyskull sorry to hear about your loss , hope you're ok

Jas super duper long list there, think I might use yours since I haven't the motivation to do my own today, if you don't mind

cafe It is a shame to have them sat around, maybe keep neutral bits like I'm doing and sell the rest. Plus some sentimental bits of tiny stuff I found in a suitcase on wardrobe. So glad airing cupboard flooding didn't damage it all

Oh is just up!!!! all at the same time

His one and only job on Weds is put out the relevant bin, which he has done, nearly missing the bin men! I'm not impressed!

Anyways, have made jam roly poly, s&s bathroom, both bedrooms are clean and tidy and oh's footy teams kit is washing now ready for Sunday but half is missing & there's soooo many random coloured socks it's unreal

BiancaCastafiore · 03/09/2008 11:43

Greyskull I hope you are OK. I'm so sorry to hear about the old lady you've been looking after. I remmeber you mentioning her from time to time, I'm sure she was incredibly grateful for all you did for her x Hope tomorrow comes and goes as easily as it can for you x

greyskull for your lady.
Hi everyone else.

Ds went into school no bother this am he cried every day last yr!

DD did well last night. I tucked her up in bed and went to run a bath (no sitting on the chair outside) by the time i came back she was asleep . She didn't come into me til 5am (usually 2am) so hopefully progress is being made.

BBL when hopefully I've done something.

TheMadHouse · 03/09/2008 12:54

GO Oh poor cat - what op does it need?

Scatty Well done with the back to bed stuff - it really works. We had to do it with DS2 and my friend has just started with her DS as she is due again in Jan

Well we had a lovley time at swimming, but the "poo juice" has re appeared. DH is suffering bad style too.

I have the washer on with the swimming things in and am going to hang them on the line next

I have cleaned the downstairs loo to an inch of its life and also sorted the medicine cabinet, as I couldnt find any immodium for me!!!

Off to do the washing on the line and then the ironing me thinks

grouchyoscar · 03/09/2008 13:03

TMH she has a hard mass behind her ear that needs investigating

I feel bad as I should have noticed it sooner but she never complained and...life just gets in the way

Right, finish lunch and sort out some clothes

BiancaCastafiore · 03/09/2008 13:16

Hope the cat is OK Grouchy x

What (if anything) does anyone store on top of their kitchen cupboards? I am trying to clear everything in the kitchen but usually store some things (cookery books and some casserole dishes) on top of the cupboards. As everything is off at teh moment for a clean it looks great but I suspect I'll need to put some things back.

grouchyoscar · 03/09/2008 13:48

Jas and Luda. I have mailed you about the clothes

Any others interested?

ludaloo · 03/09/2008 13:48

Bianca I have casserole dishes on top of my cupboards too.... and a wok (!)
I also have a great big crockery mixing bowl that won't fit in the cupboard.

I've got squash bottles on the fridge....but the other cupboard tops are bare.

OP posts:
BiancaCastafiore · 03/09/2008 13:56

Thanks Luda Where do you keep cookery books? We seem to have quite a few and at teh moment they are on top of 2 cupboards which works quite well but it may look better without them there!

ludaloo · 03/09/2008 13:56

GO I've just mailed you back

Hope the cat is ok.

I am with you on the Lego being everywhere Grouch....my DH has gone MAD with it! He has cleared out the spare room and has taken it over with Lego!
I have lego all over the bloomin place...kitchen, living room....found some more in the bathroom this morning!
(I think he is having some sort of a mid-life crisis!)

OP posts:
ludaloo · 03/09/2008 13:58

Bianca...cookery books are in a side unit in the living room....and some in the cupboard on the landing
I actually use an A4 ring binder with hundreds of cut outs and printed recipies I get from the internet/MN/friends etc....which is also in the side unti in the living room.

OP posts:
BiancaCastafiore · 03/09/2008 14:01

I think perhaps I need to find space somewhere other then the kitchen for most of the books. I have a file of best used recipes too so would idealy like to keep just that in the kitchen....It's a HUGE job to try to find space elsewhere though.

TheMadHouse · 03/09/2008 14:03

I have mine in the utility area of the kitchen. I have lightbulbs in baskets on the tops of the units. Also containers in baskets too.

I would rather the tops clear, but just dont think it will happen, although that might just me my aim.

Why do I hang washing out - It is pedeing down again!!!!

GO Let me know if anything is left - cheers

cafebistro · 03/09/2008 14:46

Have managed to sort of tidy the kitchen...The washing machine is on again. God knows how I will get it dry as its raining yet again!
Beetroot is bubbling away on the stove.
Bianca- I put my cookery books on the bookshelf in the lounge. It could do with a big declutter though...books are just shoved in vertically and horizontally at the moment!

Talking of cookery....does anyone know a nice receipe for onion soup??? I have loads of the things!!

Im now going to finish tidying the kitchen and have a general tidy before DP gets home.

EustaciaVye · 03/09/2008 14:46

Bianca - I have nothing on top of cupboards. It's a bit grim up there but as I am short I dont notice
