Morning everyone

Hi EHM glad you had a good time away

Bianca hope the day improves for you xx
I'm waiting for our new sofa to arrive today, but should be about at some point on MSN (DD1 had 2 friends to sleep over last night and they all need sorting out so I have to do that first this morning)

Simply Hiya lovely to see you back again, I keep meaning to email you to catch up. Hope all is well, as you can tell I have name changed since you were last on here, but I think you will know who I am

Right well, I have heaps to do this morning. House is a tip (the result of small children....5 of which slept in a bundle on the bedroom floor last night! they piled duvets and cushions up to make a "den" and then insisted it was comfortable enough to sleep on!)

The sofa is arriving at some point (at last) and although we were supposed to sort the living room out over the weekend....we didn't actually do much, so that will need to be done too.

Catch you all in a bit

littlemissloopy · 11/08/2008 09:36

ooooh EHM good luck with the driving

EHM · 11/08/2008 09:37

Loopy hello I'm sure I'll feel better after some fresh air and peace and quiet What's the new sofa going to be like? You're getting teh whole house spruced up, very exciting

TheMadHouse · 11/08/2008 10:12

My it has been busy on here!

Morning all

BWB Hope you are OK and the scald is not too bad, DS is about the same age and DS2 and it can be a pain sometimes

Bainca Baby step again perhaps or what about spending 15 mins in each room with the timer and setting the children offin their rooms. I can not manage once the house gets on top of me - it effects my brain or lack of it

LML I can not wait to see the pictures of the finnish living room with Sofa and the kitchen

Simply Morning it is nice having you back

EHM Glad you enjoyed Jersey. Yes to meeting I would love to . Congratualtions to SIL. Driving I passed whilst pregnant with DS2. I didnt do intensive, but booked with an instructor I liked and did a lot in a sort space of time. Can not believe I have only been driving just over 2 years it seems like forever. I passed in the march, he was born in the june

Rupert Welcome back

Rupert and BWB We are mebers of the RHS too and were at Harlow Carr for the music weekend and it was great. The boys loved the african drumming. They love the gardens and the play area. Nice day out. When we lived in Reading we used to go to Whisley all the time

Well DS2 is asleep in my bed, as we had a nasty night again. He is really notwell might have to resort to te GP's, but they will only tell me it is a virus I was up changing DS1's bed at midnight (coughing and sick) and then up all night with DS2

So I am going to crack on with the cleaning and be back later

Minkus · 11/08/2008 10:15

Hello everyone I am a lapsed fly baby, but ds2 is now 5 weeks old and I think my house jolly well needs me to un-lapse! So will be posting irregularly on here so that I can remind myself what needs doing if thats ok!

So far today I have taken ds1 to nursery and have lots of things left to do. I'm on a big decluttering mission too so that will feature on my list (dh says it's delayed nesting!)

List for today, in no particular order

2 x washing loads
General tidy round
Dust
Swish and swipe cloakroom and bathroom
Hoover downstairs
Sort through 1 box of toot
Power walk with frend and her lo

But still enjoying a cuddle with the baby, just fed him so he's all sleepy and podgy and gorgeous so housework might have to wait a little while!

rowingboat · 11/08/2008 10:30

Morning everyone Bianca I hope you feel better soon.
I totally agree with EHM do a little bit of what needs doing and don't do more than 15 minutes, that's the biggest improvement I have experienced since starting FLYing. I can do a little bit for a short time - I had a problem with perfectionism and procrastination.
I think stuff the church newsletter: only one person has mentioned it and I'm sure they can get one from the church if they are desparate. If it turns up when you are cleaning, that's a bonus.
Bewilderbeast that sounds nasty. How are you feeling now, do you think you need to see the GP or pharmacist?

Is anyone doing the running thing????
Anyone?
I started this yesterday www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml
thank you greyskull
Anyone else fancy starting it?

Just finished my breakfast, had a lovely lie-in today courtesy of LO.

Morning:
hotspots 6 mins
kitchen rescue 5 mins
s&S bathroom 5 mins
dressed me and LO
2 minutes of reminders done
hang out washing 15 mins
wash up 5 mins
read babystep done
Hoover sitting room 10 mins
Phone mum 10 mins done
go for walk 40mins
Start dinner early 30 mins

Oo, I've just started 'feel the fear and do it anyway' - has anyone read? Did it help you?

BiancaCastafiore · 11/08/2008 10:39

I'm back Kids all dropped off - I aonly have 2 extras coming back for lunch so things will be a little bit calmer.
I had a quick cycle ride (not far as I needed to pop to t he shops too so had to incorporate that into my ride). Feel better already, and the sun is trying to break through the clouds

Rowing I would do the running but we seem to have come up with a couple of good family bike rides so are all going to make an effort to that instead...I may keep a note of the webpage though to try once the kids are back at school. Cycling seems to be something I enjoy more than running though so I expect I'll stick to that (I lack motivation at the best of times so have to find something I actually enjoy!)

Minkus Congrats on ds2

TMH you're so right re the house getting on top of you effecting your brain - me too, very much so.

Right, off to do some garden jobs, they always help clear my head

lucysmam · 11/08/2008 11:02

good morning all

glad all are ok and had good times away. Been busy on here this morning hasn't it!!!

rowingboat did you find a biccy recipe?

So far today we're up, dressed n washed, had brekky, wm on its second load, shiny sink, beds made and phoned to find out price to have carpet in living room cleaned.

To Do:

dry washing when I can get out of back door
clear stairs again
finish kitchen including clear out cupboards
clean bathroom
kick oh's ass to ring work about training or whatever it was he said [cant remember!]

Am also introducing totally tv free times to my lo as if cbeebies isn't on then music channels are and I thought it about time we did without for a while so any ideas for things to do with 18mo would be gratefully accepted!!

EHM · 11/08/2008 11:04

biglips & lucysmam hello

rowingboat · 11/08/2008 11:48

Hi TMH I do hope your DCs pick up soon. Perhaps it is worth going to the GP, just for peace of mind? You must be exhausted.
Minkus that sounds so lovely: cuddling a gorgeous sleep baby. Do you have a sling, so you can cuddle him and wipe the counters?
Right the walk is cancelled - LO does NOT want to go out because he is very busy with his city? So instead online shopping. Better get on with that.

rowingboat · 11/08/2008 11:51

Bianca I'm glad you are feeling improved. Cycling with the family is lovely and much better for fun that pooey old running.
I took the LO yesterday, but we went along a cycleway/footpath and it was all slippy with the rain and leaf sludgy stuff. So he slipped a few times on his bicycle and then he kept asking me to carry it. So the running was a bit hit and miss.

bythepowerofgreyskull · 11/08/2008 11:59

afternoon all,
just popping in to mark where y'all are will be back later

TheMadHouse · 11/08/2008 12:30

Afternoon

Minkus I could do with a cuddle of a scrumming baby - yummy lucky you

Well DS2 has been in my bed all morning, so decided to crack on upstairs - It looks more of a mess now.

I have cleaned out DS1s clothes and moved everything that is too small to DS2's room.

I have also looked at what we got in the sale for next year for him and we still need some trousers, swimming truncks, briefs and socks. I try and get stuff in the sale (from their money) to save on costs.

I have fed both the boys
DS1's duvet is in the machine
DS2 has clean PJs on

So I need to

Finnish the boys rooms
Wash stuff to list on e-bay
list on e-bay
Other clothes to Friend
Arrange someone to look after DS1 tomorrow if possible
Ironing
Bathroom Mission

TheMadHouse · 11/08/2008 13:46

Back again for 15 min break

Both boys bedrooms look clean now.

I still have loads of other stuff todo, but at leat they are all done, including polishing etc

littlemissloopy · 11/08/2008 14:05

Hi

Bianca glad you are feeling brighter...I still haven't had a chance to get on MSN!

Sofa still not arrived yet, but I have spent all day so far emptying the sideboard and re-homing its contents, cleaning the rest of the furniture, and hoovering under and around the old sofa, which I have moved into the opposite corner ready for the new one to come in its place.

I've repotted a plant and put them in the sink for a much needed drink

Been and collected a few Avon books...more to get but they'll have to wait til later now.

Mad As soon as it is sorted and straight I'll get some photo's up
I forgot about the kitchen....its um.... very red! (I like it though)

Wait a mo...I can link the sofa....

Cool - I bet it will look fab.

My mum has rang to say she is coming round for an hour - so I will take all the cleaning kit upstairs and grab the opportunity to do my thorough bathroom clean and ensuite at the same time once she arrives
