Wow...toilet bowls limescale free for the first time since we moved in 3 years ago!!!
I have tried umpteen million limescale removers...scrubbed, scraped tried to cover it up with bubbly toilet freshners...
Now thanks to Domestos hard core limescale remover its clean!
(Highly corrosive and extremely un-environmentally friendly but hopefully I won't have to use it too often now)

GO Hope your bumps go soon

IC I think you deserve a break...and it is Sunday after all

intravenouscoffee · 15/06/2008 16:54

Thanks Luda Glad the limescale is sorted. How are your knees after the race for life?

Have done the ironing and hung washing out. Just getting into evening routine now; feeling quite pleased with myself for having done most of the stuff on my list and pleased with how the house looks so will just chill out once DD is in bed. Might watch an old movie... When Harry met Sally maybe. If I'm not back later, hope you all have nice evenings.

luda glad you got the limescale shifted
ic enjoy the film
hunny how could you not know? surely it advertises this fact on the tin
go have a few cookies to make you feel better about your bump and bruise collection

i've taken ds to get his new school bag. then collected dd before going to see nanny, grandad and nannygran. have just got home and done my ironing. am about to start tea now. i'm reallly not hungry today, most unusual

tortoise · 15/06/2008 18:01

Hello.
DS's grandad died last night.

Today the weather had been lovely. I have cut the lawn and started strimming the overgrown bit.

I have also saved about £13 today . I cut DS's hair with the clippers! Told them proper hair cuts cost too much and as they never style it themselves it isn't worth having a proper style!

Just waiting for tea to cook. DD's had breakfast! DS's and I are having cheese onion and potato pie and veg.

Am ok for food tomorrow now. Friends dp bought our tent off us. We wont get to use it again anyway and i got £50 for it.

tort sorry to read your news. How are ds's?
hunny My dh is the very same, and dd maybe turning into a spoilt little madame who chooses to ignore everything i say. So you have my sympathy although I wont be offering to take your dc's off your hands.
go hope you are ok after your fall?

to everybody else.

EustaciaVye · 15/06/2008 20:06

Tort - Hope your DSs are ok.

Hunny - You have my sympathy. I would start a "you scratch my back and I scratch yours" campaign. Make them earn the things you do for them.

tortoise · 15/06/2008 20:23

Thanks all. They seem fine. They really weren't close to him. Just hope xp helps his mum out more now. From what the boys say, grandad did quite a few jobs in the house.

tortoise · 15/06/2008 20:25

RR You have my sympathy. No ideas how to help. Mine aren't too bad. They could do a lot more to help though!

tortoise · 15/06/2008 20:28

Dyls How exciting. Sure you will have a great time. Haven't booked anything for us yet. Want to go to Haven in Devon but Very expensive in summer hols. I will be looking out for a last minute deal again. Also need to look into cost of someone having Mickey. Must get Ebaying to raise the money!

dylsmum1998 · 15/06/2008 20:31

haven is good fun, but as you say very expensive. we're going camping again so £70 for the week, wouldnt be able to go if it cost more. have been ebaying to raise money. have most of the stay money. just need diesel now and money for some days out while we're there

Ludaloo · 15/06/2008 20:32

IC my right knee hurts a bit. I ran on it funny in the mum's race at sports day on Friday and I think I pulled something. It is getting better now though.

Tort sorry to hear that for your DS's

Hunny I take things away from mine if they get too bad, then hopefully they appreciate things a bit more when they get them back. ()

tortoise · 15/06/2008 20:59

wow £70 for a week is great. I would camp if i had a car. It was just too much to carry on a train! And we couldn't take air beds so was very uncomfortable on foam mats. Haven normal price for a week in july/aug is over £1000! I would never pay that. Am also keeping an eye on some sellers on Ebay that are listing haven breaks in their vans they own. Might find one cheap that way too!

hownottodoit · 15/06/2008 22:36

hi ladies, haven't deserted you already, just been super busy this weekend, but will tell you all about it tommorrow.

Have got tons and tons of housework to catch up with, as well as the babysteps day 2 and 3.

Hope you are all well, and Hunny hope you haven't kicked the kids out for being such pains .

Off to bed, chat tommorow.
