Well I'm dressed...DH is just getting dressed as I type....but from the sounds of things he has decided it would be more fun to pillow fight with DS!

Morning all

We were given a lie in by the kids this morning so didn't get up till almost 9am!

Had a lazy brekkie and then remembered dd had a party to get to by 11 so had a last minute scramble to wrap the present, write the card and walk to the party!
Met a friend on the way home so her ds is here playing with my ds I'll drop him off on my way to collect dd in an hour.

Worked most of the day yesterdya then we all went into Oxford to return a pair of shoes to M&S which fell apart after a weeks wear - got in, parked the car then dh remembered he'd forgotten to bring the shoes with him I left them packed and ready when I left for work in the morning!
We chose some new shoes anyway so I'll have to attempt another trip into town alone this week to return the broken pair.
Took the kids to Pizza Hut for tea - they were lovely company

Oh, also bought tickets for us all to see Joseph when it comes to Oxofrd in the summer and tickets for dd and I to see the High School Musical stage show which comes in August (those will be dds birthday present )

I'm doing stacks of washing as it's a beautiful day here today

dh has the contents of our garage spread across the front garden this morning (oh the shame) We have a stack of stuff to freecycle and some junk and lots of other "stuff" we seem to be hanging on to for no reason
I think we need a skip really....

Ludaloo · 30/03/2008 12:18

It has gone very gloomy looking here now DH has taken the kids to the park regardless. He's a barave man...has taken all 3 of them and their bikes!

Hopefully I have about an hour to tidy. I am feeling very hormonal ATM...very aggitated with everything
I was putting some washing in DD2's drawers and the front came of them.....I HATE THEM!! so I flung the front across the bedroom and DH was fairly so he has promised to fix them (and the side of the bath that he took off about 2 weeks ago and never put back on)
I have terrible OCD lately....the house being messy fules my aggitatedness!
I get really irritated by little things!

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
And it isn't even the TOM!!!! What is wrong with me!!????

Obviously I must be a mare to live with ATM...DH is trying very hard to calm me! Yesterday he had all the kids and sent me off into town to buy something nice!
Now he has taken the kids out so I can tidy without having to yell at the kids to stop making a mess!!!

Sorry to rant at you all too!

I had better go and tidy while I can...

Aww Luda poor you, I hate feeling hormonal like that - thankfully it's mostly limited to 7-10 days a month - although I did come down this morning to dh, who had just made the kids a nice breakfast, and had a go at him for not emptying the recycling Poor chap...he tolerates me well!
I'm glad your dh is being supportive
It is very frustrating to spend so much time trying to keep on top of the house when everyone else seems to follow you round undoing all your hard work!
Remember to be kind to yourself and have some time out too. And remember that kids are messy - they just don't think about the trail of devastation left behind them!

I need to collect dd now but can be on MSN later if you need to rant

DontDreamItBeIt · 30/03/2008 13:46

We still have sushine, but I'v lost the motivation to do stuff, now.

DD1 and I managed to get dressed, but ds and dd2 are having pyjama days It is Barbie day on Boomerang Marginally better than Bratz day (yesterday) but there is a limit to how much of it I can tolerate.

They've outgrown lots of kiddy tv, and ds hasn't discovered it yet. I can't stand Dora (I blame her entirely for the American accent both dds still use when playing)

Luda - I get like that before I'm due on. By the time I actually do come on I've calmed down again. Glad your dh is supportive....I swear mine actually winds me up on purpose sometimes!

Grouchy The dds like the clangers and Bagpuss, but I can't persuade them that the older version of Paddington is better. I had all the original Paddington book which were my mums, and they weren't at all interested

babyjj - I've never used them. Let us know if they are any good.

TheMadHouse · 30/03/2008 14:31

I am in trouble I bought the wrong colour paint when we were out, so have had to do the round journey again - trouble with being in the sticks everything takes ages to get to.

I have managed to do a load of washing
Build Ikea table (my mum pinched ours and bought me a new one) and painted the top with one coat of blue black board paint (one more coat to do)
One load of washing dry

Oh yes and DS1 has managed to go to the toilet - still hurts, but at least he has been

babyjjbaby · 30/03/2008 14:42

hi i have been cleaning the cars and the slabs in the garden withthe pressure washer got it yesterday a bit dissapointed really and just going to feed the baby and put him, down for asleep

Ludaloo · 30/03/2008 17:39

Bianca you are so lovely, as always
I decided to tidy the bomb site AKA the kids bedroom, whilst DH was out with the kids. He then helped me do it when he came back....2 black bin liners of crap!!! How can this be!? we did a giant cull/tidy just before Christmas!! That's only a few months ago!
So sorry not to have replied sooner..
It took all afternoon! Then I had to stop and make supper while DH carried on.

All done now and looking much better.

Jas I'm actually feeling a bit better....I don't get periods anymore because of my injection contraception...but maybe if I did, then I'd be having one now...or soon. Its definately a hormone thing!

TMH I'm glad your DS is managing to go to the loo now...it sounds very painful
I hope the antibiotics clear it up quickly now.

we haad a good day out yesterday, although ds said mum the museum of childhood not much fun- can we go to science one next time!
ds was good is prone to hyperness and we didnt need to remind him to calm all day!
dd wore knickers all day and had no accidents all day!
so we bought them both a conragts present!
been to the strand today with thier bikes think they both a bit tired as dd was moany, although could also be her teeth, and ds was little hyper
have done minimal housework today as not been in long ad am feeling very tired myself!

BiancaCastafiore · 30/03/2008 18:43

Luda my dd wants to share this with your dd

Ds is HSM mad too - I'm slightly regretting not getting him a ticket for the stage show...

BiancaCastafiore · 30/03/2008 18:45

Luda, She insists your dd1 would like this too

Bewilderbeast · 30/03/2008 19:21

and the house still looks a flippin tip

Grouchyoscar · 30/03/2008 20:42

BWB I can recommend a builder close to you if you need one. He's jolly good

Ed did some reading (Yay!) He played out with next door's brood, I wiped the white goods, made a bird cake for the chubby spuggies, bathed me and was joined by Ed who like the 'Candley Baff' with the 'lovely smell' He's drying off on our bed watching Indiana Jones

Might take him to Ponderosa Farm tomorrow if the weathert stays good

TheMadHouse · 30/03/2008 21:22

Evening all

Well the boys are tucked up in their new bedrooms.

We still have loads to do and the spare/office looks like a bombs dropped. I now have a cot bed to ebay only 21 months old and also a changing table to match. Once these have gone we will have more room and be able to swing the cat.

Our jobs for the weekend are to finnish the rooms - shelves, peel off etc and paint the smaller of the two, although we may leave that adn concentrate on the play house and garden.

Why does everything take 10 times longer when you have toddlers

JingleyJen · 30/03/2008 21:33

Evening all,
can I rejoin you please? The last couple of weeks has seen me slip down the slippery slope to CHAOS.
Washing system has all but collapsed so ironing mountain is huge.
there are 2-3 tidy rooms in the house but the rest has turned into a heap.

SO tomorrow - Monday - British Summer time - new start.

Still Easter holidays here but will enroll DS1 in looking after DS2 for an hour whilst I start the ironing and hopefully weather will be good again so I can get a few washing loads done.

Please remind me that it is possible... I used to know it but am loosing faith. (other rl stuff getting in the way)

Bewilderbeast · 30/03/2008 21:35

grouchy

if he does roofs then yes please, I have had some extraordinary depressing quotes!

babyjjbaby · 30/03/2008 21:35

think i might join u jingley jen need to do some ecluttering and sort some cuboards out

JingleyJen · 30/03/2008 21:54

going to tackle one room at a time, starting with spare room aka ironing room.
Today I have folded and put away all the things I can cope with not ironing but there are still 3 full baskets that need doing and that is aside from the 3-4 washing loads that need doing!!!
