Am I supposed to wash something on my Dyson???

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 12/03/2008 19:36

yes you will - we wash ours all the time now - doing up house - bt it does make it work much better

YouKnowNothingOfTheCrunch · 12/03/2008 19:37

I will do mine one day... promise.

VanillaPumpkin · 12/03/2008 19:37

Well I have to say it was a revelation to me too. DH did them twice when we first got it apparently. I have no recollection.

Really?? Great. I think the foam bit will be OK but possibly the other bit is just too far gone .
DH has just said he thinks there are two . Is this likely?

OK someone needs to help me, all I do is switch it on and push it round then when I remember, press the button thing to empty it in the dustbin while looking the other way.

So which bit am I supposed to wash?

DC04. An upright. One of the originals. Not a new poncy practice freebie with a filthy name .
BTW I saw that pic of Dorothy and you have too much time on your hands....

Ah, the black thing should not be removed.
And I used hot water . Oh well. I have been trying to break this for some time as I want a new one. Fingers crossed.

I just paid £50 for someone to come and tell me to wash my filter

He did fit a new brush bar as well and it was cheaper than buying a new hoover I suppose

Had never washed filter & machine is about 3 years old.

He also told me to clean everywhere regulalry esp where bits join together as once grime builds up in the expansion gaps it stops the vacuum being created...apparently
