Zone this week is the master bedroom, which is good for me.

It is raining so hard here, we are off to mums and toddlers in a mo, once I manage to get coats on the mini mads

I have lunch sorted and a load in thee dryer, but I am so tired. I am hoping to have a nap at lunhtime if I can talk DS1 into coming to bed with me.

Plan is to then make the bolegnease and take some to bro and then back for said tea and play with mini's

I must also check on friend with back, as her DH went back to work last week. I went and hoovered and stuff for her on Friday.

Where is everyone today - we are back from toddlers a little wetter than we went.

I just sorting out lunch - carrots, leeks mash and chicken with gravey (yesterdays leftovers).

Then I must empty the dryer

Hi madhouse. I've been at work. Back now with 2 grumpy children so not sure how much housework I'll get done.

Janni · 21/01/2008 13:11

Yes - it took me ages to find the thread TMH
Maybe their houses are so fantastically neat that they don't need Fly any more or they're totally depressed and have given up

I hope you manage to have your nap. I just got DD to lie down as she was screaming her head off when I told her off (again) for scooping butter out of the tub and eating it, just after she'd finished lunch .

I feel a bit all over the place today but I think that with a bit of concerted effort now I can get the flat back under control.

  1. Put laundry away 2) tidy living room 3)tidy kitchen 4) whilst I'm doing that, call my mum as it's her birthday today.
Yaddayah · 21/01/2008 13:15

Hi all
Hrumph after a very boozy weekend the house is a tip again

Done some ironing/putting away

Laughter is a very good calorie burner ruby

Janni · 21/01/2008 14:22

TMH hope you found the required toy. I often have to lie if they're looking for something and I know I've chucked it out in one of my frantic decluttering sessions

Yaddah - what's a make-up bag? My hair is in desperate need of a wash.

Bewilder - sorry you're having a bad day. Hope it improves.

Ruby - well done for starting. Doesn't matter what you look like unless the neighbours can see in your windows

Right. What next?

  1. wash scuzzy hair 2)work out how to put new raincover on pushchair for school run as weather stinks 3)clear stuff from study that shouldn't be in here
TheMadHouse · 21/01/2008 14:37

Well I stopped procrastinating and have just chopped 6 peppers, 4 corgettes, 3 large onions, packet of bacon and cooked with 2 packets of steak mince and added 3 tubs of pasata. Then added basil, garlic, oregarno, worcester source and bunged in the slow cooker. It is the fullest it has ever been.

I will leave it for an hour and remove half and have a drive to my bros to drop it off.

DS1 has fallen asleep watching the cars DVD again and Janni No didnt find the car - must be somewhere. No toy cull since Christmas.

Yadda I have a box on my dressing table that they can not reach - not that I use it anymore

BB I am sorry you are having a shitty day where is your office?

Ruby I am laughing with you - no speace at home to do excercise.

Afternoon

lol@ the thought that we all have such perfect houses we don't need FLY any more. I am just very buy working as a plasterers assistant to dp, with added painting when I can fit it in.

I have done three loads of washing today, and rewashed the last lot after it snapped the washing line and landed in the muddy garden.

Yaddah - No make up at all here. I don't own any.If you get used to not wearing it it is alot easier Of course I do look about 70 most days

Janni - I have scuzzy hair with paint in it. I really need to do something with it today.

TMH i've just made bolognese from a jar At least the dds will get food not from the chip shop on Brownie night this week!

Ruby - If you enjoy it I suppose you may do it more often. I really should do some exercise.

BB - I hope your day gets better

Hello Bianca , FGS and everyoe else

I've just got time to go and put away the cleawashing before i do the last school run of the day.

tibni · 21/01/2008 15:58

Hi all,

Was determined to get loads done today but I have come out in a rash! Im all red and itchy! Thought it could be from daughters slapcheek that she had a few weeks back but ive been told im too old! So itchy and insulted!

Managed to get a bit done but really feel rough. Dinner is cooking so will spend 15 mins on mission. Might keep my mind of scatching!

FunkyGlassSlipper · 21/01/2008 16:42

Lol Jas. I always make bolognaise from a jar. Does that make me a total slattern ?

TheMadHouse · 21/01/2008 17:43

I used to, but it is so much cheeper to make it with cheep pasata and also adds veg - he he he. It makes the mince go further.

I hope everyone is OK re the flooding. It is pretty bad here. The access under our railway bridge (one of the access' to our house) is unpassable. Although no chance of the house flooding.

I have just got to pop another load of washing on and then the ironing tonight.

OP posts:
DontDreamItBeIt · 21/01/2008 18:17

Mine works out fairly cheap as I use two jars to one pack of mince, and add inned tomsad other veg if I have it. I've also been known to stick soya mince in it too, and no one has noticed!

I still haven't put the washig away

I need to hoover the whole house before ds goes to bed, too....

FunkyGlassSlipper · 21/01/2008 18:22

I only use 1 jar, 1 mince and then tend to add mushrooms and courgettes.

if anyone wants to give me any sympathy look here

Not a drama on the scale of many but tbh I could quite happily go away for a week on my own right now...

gibberish · 21/01/2008 18:32

gibberish · 21/01/2008 18:41

Where is luda? I need to tell you about my guinea pig

DontDreamItBeIt · 21/01/2008 20:06

Gibberish - I did a search (when you asked before) and she has only posted once in the last month, unless she has name changed.

tortoise · 21/01/2008 20:09

Evening all.
Have spent the day tidying up the front room while singing along to the radio!
Not the best thing to do when i keep losing my voice lol!

janni My DD's used to sneak their fingers into the butter! Turned my back once and DD2 grabbed the tub and started eating the butter!

Argh forgotten what else i was going to say!

I have not seen neverenough for a while - maybe she stayed in NY.

Gibberish mail me your address and I will send books.

I am doing the pasta for me and DH's tea. Bro just rang to say they demolished it at dinner time and he is going out to get some lasagne sheets to use up the rest - it filled up my slow cooker. I am just glad to help. I ever asked just did - often the best way

Nit sure if I can find the energy to do the ironing, may leave it for tomorrow evening.
