Hi,
Just wanted to say a quick thank you to all the people on here who reviewed or reccommended a robot vacuum, in varoious differnet places. I kept coming across the name 'Eufy'. So I researched it further (as well as researching loads of others) had great reviews and I got one delivered yesterday.

I got the Eufy 30c and it was on offer, so even better. I've not had one before, so nothing to compare with, but love it so far.

Thanks MN

Would it eat up little bits of lego it finds? And if it did, would it be easy to spot them when emptying it? Dc's lack attitude to small toys is what puts me off getting one.

Do you want to be picking through a hoover for Lego though? If you went for one I’d say set it off in specific rooms each time, don’t give it full run of the house. That way you can make sure your DC have picked up any toys before letting it run in the living room/their bedroom.

EufyProsser · 10/05/2022 11:22

We had one for six months, without a single problem... until he started flashing his red light for no reason and refusing to work. (I can't blame him. He was fed a very generous daily diet of dog hair.) Anker were great about replacing it, but with a 'reconditioned model', as per the guarantee. And another, after three weeks. And another, and another, etc. If I tell you that my wifi network now has Eufy VIII on it, you might be able to guess how well this worked out in the long run.

Currently Eufyless but threads like this always make me start scrolling idly for possible bargains.

Foxglovesandlilacs86 · 10/05/2022 11:26

I started a post in here not long ago saying it had changed my life! I love it, I use it every day.

Caspianberg · 10/05/2022 12:29

The hoover empty part if at the back and bag less, so when you open to empty dust you would see any small toys sucked up generally

Thats the other advantage, everyone now tidies everything of the floor every evening before bed so it doesn’t get hoovered up, meaning far less clutter than before. Even 2 year old tidies up

CointreauVersial · 17/05/2022 17:23

Ahhh, I was looking for a thread like this. Very tempted by a Eufy....just need to work out which model.

Thanks to whoever mentioned putting in a small ramp....our house has a step dividing it in half, and I couldn't work out how else to manage.

DeanStockwelllsBunny · 17/05/2022 23:08

I wish we could post videos, I would show you my Eufy 11s climbing a ramp it's about a 1.5 ft long and at its highest point us just over 5 inches , and he has no problems at all. He just needs a high sides to stop you from committing hari-kari off the edge of a ramp !
It took a few experiments and a bit of negotiating but he does a decent job now

Workinghardeveryday · 18/05/2022 07:16

does he pick up as well as a dyson upright?

I am very tempted to get one. I Hoover every morning downstairs, and again after tea. Upstairs almost daily too

jenny5000 · 18/05/2022 07:23

Mine was great but now seems to be very underpowered. Hardly picks up anything and sort of wheels about aimlessly. I've replaced brushes, cleaned very thoroughly and still no joy ☹️

WildFlowerBees · 18/05/2022 12:29

I am about to throw my dyson out the window it's always breaking down. Came on here to ask about a vacuum and say this thread. Now I'm tempted!

mommybear1 · 18/05/2022 12:58

@jenny5000 how old is your Eufy? It might need a new battery 🔋 mine has a new lease of life since I replaced the battery.

hippolyta · 18/05/2022 13:10

I've had a Eufy and a Bagotte. They look and cost similar but there are differences and overall I prefer the Bagotte.
The main and only advantage of the Eufy is battery life.
The Bagotte is much more thorough and "maps" the room. It methodically covers every inch of floor and the edges, whereas the Eufy seems to bumble around randomly and misses huge chunks.

I bought DS2 a Bagotte as a house warming present and when he moved in he hoovered everywhere with a Dyson, then set off the bagotte. It managed to pick up a huge amount from what should have been a clean carpet.

DeanStockwelllsBunny · 18/05/2022 15:59

@Workinghardeveryday
I would say yes you need one , you are vacuuming so often that using a new Eufy would cut it down by half you probably would still feel like you need to vacuum a couple of times a week but that would be all.
You can set the easy going twice a day and yes whilst they do have their faults for getting a bit tangled every now and then they certainly pick up the majority of the dust and dirt.

jenny5000 · 18/05/2022 19:18

@mommybear1 About two I think. Would it need a new battery so quickly?

mommybear1 · 18/05/2022 20:01

@jenny5000 yes it might do. I have two purchased a year apart the newer one needed a new battery after 12 months the older one is still going after nearly 3 years. My Dad also has one and his needed a new battery after nearly 2 years. Worth checking- Amazon sell replacements for about £20.

jenny5000 · 18/05/2022 22:41

Oh, thank you. I'll order a replacement. It's a godsend usually.

NamechangeFML · 18/05/2022 22:44

@balzamico ha! I love how your refer to "Her"

mines a "Him".

me : " away you go ,wee pal! Gobble up the crumbs! Theres a good boy!"

i think lockdown broke me ...

Neonskytonight · 18/05/2022 22:49

I've looked at the Eufy30c - on paper it looks a bit like it is lacking in suction - 1500pa when most others are 2000pa + . I guess if you don't have another to compare it too you wouldn't notice, but it makes me wonder how good it is.

Chasingsquirrels · 18/05/2022 22:52

I had a new battery after about 18m, made a massive difference.
Weirdly the old battery had a 2001 date, despite the eufy having been purchased in August 2020. Wasn't very impressed with that when I realised.

Thank you - Eufy robo vacuum
MangoBiscuit · 29/05/2022 07:22

I flipping love ours too. Just checked, and we've had him 16 months already. I set him off upstairs yesterday and forgot until my phone bleeped to say he'd run out of battery. Got upstairs and I was shocked by the difference, realised that I need to put him upstairs more often, oops!

He's set to run every morning, I wish I could set him to run over night, but we have cats, and I've read that Roomba review, with the puppy mess 😱

hitrewind · 29/05/2022 08:27

Do any of you have dogs? I got a Conga and it just doesn't pick up the dog hair I need it to... been considering a replacing it with a Eufy but wanted to check how effective they are before splurging.

It’s much easier to find lego and small toys than in a regular hoover. They sink to the bottom which is the top when you empty it. I also find Eufy is coming into your room in 5 mins is the best motivation for tidying. I pop her on upstairs after my shower (I need a quick tidy sweep of upstairs first and some time just give up and close DD1 door and I try to put her on downstairs when I bath the kids.

Don’t get the eufy combined hoover and mop. It’s truly shit

Footbelle · 29/05/2022 16:46

Following for advice, I really need to order one but there are so many options. Any recommendations?

We have mostly hard floors, some mats and 1 carpet. One level. Would love a mopping one too but not if it's a bit useless. Main thing is the hoovering. And not too high tech, we don't have an Alexa or anything.

Footbelle · 29/05/2022 16:48

Have dust allergy too and normally damp dust, will a vac pick up most of the dust or is a mop needed?

Chewchewbacca · 29/05/2022 18:40

HappyCup yes pl to code ( as well as recomwndations re model if ok! ) thanks !!

goingpearshaped · 29/05/2022 18:43

I am so tempted! Which models do people have please? We have a mix of carpet and hard floors.
