FGS I feel like I've been "outed"!

SlightlyMadStuffing · 09/11/2007 14:20

afternoon all I havn't been back as I have been FLYing as high as a space shuttle orbiting the earth .

I have:

Cleaned the mould and mildew of 3 bedroom window frames (20-30mins each with a toothbrush after I realised I wasn't allowed to use the dettol on stained wood)
Done 2 loads of washing + 1 TD
Yesterdays mission (work-top day today anyway so I left it yesterday to do today and did it thouroughly)
Stew in oven
Half of todays mission (I have swept; will mop after DDs are in bed)
Thorough S&S (as my sink was a mess after doing mildew basic S&S wasn't going to cut it)
Conservatory quickies (should be tomorrow)

And now it is me (MN) time.

about interview...but you never know...I was told that people that feel that an interview was 'easy' are probably crap as the interviewers were scared to 'stretch' them. It is the ones that find it tough that are more likely to get the job as teh interviews were stretching them as far as they could. BUT I work in an area where technical knowledge is key - so an interview is almost like an exam.

I may be going away Sat afternoon - in which case I won't be around much over W/E. On the other hand I could be here in a protecting my identity type 'strangers' disguise if I get bored at MILs.

ludaloo · 09/11/2007 14:24

Ooooh I didn't know you were a GP neverenough ....

He also gave me some lovely cream for my eyes (I have had a flare of excema...)

I want to have a nice hot bath (the water heater has been fixed AGAIN today too...it had stopped working for the third time on Tuesday)

I'd like to have a nice bath, take my tablets and sleep for about three days..
won't happen though, I have a Body Shop Party to go to tonight...
Typical isn't it...first night I get to go out without the kids in years, and I would rather be asleep!!

I'm going to turn up looking like a zombie! (with eye excema and circles as black as black can be )

ludaloo · 09/11/2007 14:27

Does that mean you MN at work!?

NOW I know why I always have to wait hours to see a doctor!

NAB3littlemonkeys · 09/11/2007 14:31

I still wonder what your kids are doing when you are houseworking? Mine would be getting up too mischief (he is only 2)

Neverenough · 09/11/2007 14:32

Luda! Outed again!

No you have to wait hours 'cos I have my feet up on the desk, reading Grazia and eating jellbeans, of course!

Neverenough · 09/11/2007 14:34

I can't MN at work-too busy, don't even have a lunchbreak
I jobshare, so work two full days now.
Best thing I've ever done, dropping to 2!

SlightlyMadStuffing · 09/11/2007 14:35

BTW NE (and I am not saying this cos of you being 'outed') - I wasn't complaining, just commenting about delay. In fact he was only 10mins late when we got there. The patient before us was in for about 30 mins.

I have been on the other side of the wait before and very much appreciated it. I have also gone up and waited for GP to gain time to slot me in on an emergency. My surgery are v v good. I couldn't get an appointment for morning once so I said I would go to walk in. Recpetionist asked me nature of prob and when I explained it was meningitis type rash in a 12m old I was squeezed straight in.

I just got a bit self conscious with DD3. She was shouting HiYa to all that walked in - and to the Receptionist whenevr she appeared or disappeared from view. That and running out of waiting room - much to all the old folk that seemed to be waiting for flu jabs .

Eventually the receptionist looked at the computer and assured me I was next. I wasn't sure if she was getting a bit overburdened with the noise which led to me being self conscious.

Don't worry SMS! I am a bit sensitive to people waiting-partly because I hate waiting myself but also because it is difficult to juggle when there's not enough time and some people are really quite narky about it when they can see you've been busy!
Your surgery sounds good-we try and fit people in as much as we can too.

SlightlyMadStuffing · 09/11/2007 14:43

TORTOISE have you seen this

I know it is in Macc, but you may get a cheapish courier or friendly MN to offer postage which could be cheaper than a new machine.

yaddayah · 09/11/2007 14:43

Quick quick black top or cream top ??

ludaloo · 09/11/2007 14:44

No lunch break! Good job you only work 2 days!
I can honestly say I love doctors though.....I wanted to kiss the man when he said my migraines could be stopped!

I'm just a bit sad it has taken me at least 2 years of trying different diets, different contraception, different headache tablets and suffering more migraines than I can remember for one doctor to say "oh this is what you need!"

But I think you do a fab job

Neverenough · 09/11/2007 14:45

Dear me Ruby-that needs an injection with a large needle! Step this way!

Yes I do get asked stuff at dinner parties though never had to look at anyone's spotty bottom!!!!Put it away now Ruby!

ludaloo · 09/11/2007 14:46

SlightlyMadStuffing · 09/11/2007 14:47

In fact I don't know how everyone else on here feels I would happily chip in a fiver for a courier if costs could be met that way???

Neverenough · 09/11/2007 14:49
ludaloo · 09/11/2007 14:50

SMS well spotted! I'd chip in to get it delivered to her

ludaloo · 09/11/2007 14:51

Neverenough · 09/11/2007 14:52

ludaloo · 09/11/2007 15:06

Right well I'm going to fetch DD1 from school, make an early supper, have a bath, slap some make up on and go and buy myself something nice and pampering for my battered head (I have seen a nice looking eye mask in the bodyshop) and then have a glass of wine (or 2!) take my new tablets and hopefully SLEEP!

ludaloo · 09/11/2007 15:07

Oh...ps...yey for the new piggy

Neverenough · 09/11/2007 15:09

Have a nice evening and a lovely sleep tonight luda
