Anyone using Freddie's Flowers or similar?

Just curious.
I'm actually rebuilding my life after domestic abuse and a mental breakdown. Trying to introduce totally new positive things into my life as I continue to heal.

I decided to try out Freddies Flowers. Really boosted my mood and the flowers were gorgeous. Deciding whether to continue with maybe a fortnightly or monthly subscription or experiment with any of the other flower subscription companies.
What have your experiences been with flower subscriptions, if any?

I gave Freddie’s one last chance after numerous disappointing deliveries. They used to be good but the quality has declined in recent times, not sure if their packaging timescales have changed since DPD started delivering meaning that they’re out of water for too long although that doesn’t account for the damaged blooms in boxes which aren’t damaged in any way.

The snapdragons and flocks in the last bunch had actually lost a number of flowers while still in the box, more fell as I carefully put them in the vase and they lost more overnight. The Lisianthus were brown on the edges.

I was given 25% off my next delivery but they’re just not worth the money so I declined that and chose to cancel.

I joined at Christmas. Haven’t had a delivery every week but everything I have received has been lovely. They last ages and for the price it’s good value although I do find there are far too many that include lilies which I am not keen on. I think it may depend where you live and I certainly wouldn’t be keen on a DPD delivery, they are not geared up for flower delivery. Mine are delivered by a man riding a push bike with a trailer on the back, the flowers have always been fresh and in perfect condition. I guess they have suppliers all over the country and some are better than others.

I gave up on Freddie's after a few disappointing deliveries. They were very persuasive in trying to keep me - phoned me and were quite persistent, sent me a free bunch. But still not up to standard so was very definite that I wanted to cancel.
I now use Arena ( £5 cheaper that Freddie's). I like that you only get one type of flower, but lots of them, along with greenery. Easier for me to arrange as I'm not great at it! Generally lovely quality, and when I've had issues they've quickly organised replacement flowers.

I have them fortnightly though as they tend to last at least 10 days.

I'm really sorry about what happened to you. Flowers are the perfect cure for stress. I'm usually cheered up by daisies.

I have used Bloom and Wild to buy one of those subscription bouquets for a birthday present and they were really nice.

Your local florist will do a flower subscription if you ask them, either hand tied or loose stems. If they are a good florist they will be fresher than Freddie’s and the like, and you will probably get more for your money too.

I asked for a sub for my birthday in March as I realised flowers in the house made me feel really happy in lockdown, I also get fortnightly- they usually last 2 weeks- sometimes a few need removing but I love them!!

Flowers were nice but not £25 nice. I hate their pyramid selling model. I'd much rather pay a fair price per bunch than subsidise Edith's free flowers.
