Bloom and Wild

I am thinking of ordering from Bloom and Wild and maybe treating myself to a subscription. My DD was 21 recently and was sent a beautiful bouquet from here and they have lasted 12 days and looked stunning. Would anybody recommend any type of subscription ie. letterbox or hand tied? Any reviews?

I would not recommend the at all.
My sister bought some for my mums birthday and they arrived completely dead and I ordered some for mothers day that had bits missing, it was supposed to have a planter you put together in it and the ends were missing.
When we complained we had a hell of a job getting past the madam at the call centre and after repeated emails had to go to the managing director for a replacement and by this time we were absolutely fuming.
Birthday and mothers day ruined and them very very reluctant to replace.
I would not touch them with a 10 foot bargepole again, their attitude upset our whole family.

I've just signed up to Freddie's flowers after a recommendation on here. My first bunch arrived last week and they are beautiful!
Definitely recommend.

OxanaVorontsova · 06/05/2020 12:28

I've been using B&W for years and never had a problem. On the odd occasion that I receive a damaged stem they have refunded or compensated very quickly. Anyone I have sent them to has been delighted.

GingerFigs · 06/05/2020 12:31

I've ordered a few times and recipients have always been delighted (I've either seen in real life or photos and always been lovely). I also received some myself recently and they are gorgeous.

When they arrive they look very wilted but pop straight into water and they soon wake up.

Never had an issue so can't comment on their customer service when it goes wrong.

KittenVsBox · 06/05/2020 12:40

The advantage of the letterbox flowers is that you dont need to be in when the delivery is made.
My parents got me a 6 month letterbox subscription as a birthday present. A couple of time I was a bit skeptical when I put the stems in the vase, but within a day or 2 they were stunning. Never had reason to complain, so can't comment on that side.

Duchessofealing · 06/05/2020 12:42

I love Bloom and Wild and have never had a problem - they last for ages too. I like that they fit in the letterbox so you don’t have to be in.

FireandFury · 06/05/2020 12:43

I’ve had a few gifts from there and they’ve been really lovely.

mamaoffourdc · 06/05/2020 12:46

My husband sent me a box last week - it was terrible 😔😔

cecinestpasunepipe · 06/05/2020 13:02

I sent some last year to my mother, and was totally underwhelmed when she sent me a photo. It was all in bud and very dry, so no flowers to see on her special day, and a lot of them were so tight they never opened. Absolutely nothing like the picture on the website.

pengymum · 06/05/2020 13:14

I use them a lot but haven’t done during lockdown. Always lovely and last!
I think if you have a bit of an eye, you can make them look fab, if you plonk them in vase, not so much! 😆
Follow the included instructions and should get long lasting display.
Had a few late/wrong address deliveries but always replaced no quibble.
I think I have a referral discount code - if anyone wants to use it:

Freddie's flowers are much better than bloom and wild. I got a bunch from Freddie's and couldn't believe how long they lasted and how big the bouquet became. They come in bud but they're just amazing. I've had a few from bloom and wild and they're very disappointing

ScarfLadysBag · 06/05/2020 13:23

I use B&W all the time and never had any problems. The ones I got for my gran for Mother's Day lasted a month! She is still going on about them now Grin

And yes they arrive in bud, the letterbox ones, so they don't have a wow factor when you open them but it means they last ages rather than flowers that arrive already on the way out. They do hand-tied bouquets that are more for really special occasions I think, if you want the wow factor. But especially at the moment, I prefer sending the letterbox ones.

makingmyway10 · 06/05/2020 14:03

Thank you so much for all the replies! Not sure now after such mixed reviews! The bouquet my daughter received were stunning all roses blush coloured, there was a note with them to say that there was supposed to be two colours but they only had one. I have a 15% voucher so thought I would put it towards a subscription but maybe I should try a bouquet first?

Flowers delivered fro bloom and wild during lockdown. Sent 3 lots to different people all beautiful. All lasted a long time. Received some through the post. Myself lasted a long time. Flowers not
Just the normal ones get in the shop bouquets. It's nice to wait and see them come out over a few days.

LooseyGoosey · 06/05/2020 14:13

I love Bloom and Wild! It's fab; flowers generally last ages, arrive in great condition and bouquets are well designed. You can often find discount codes too.

skinnyhotchoc · 06/05/2020 15:24

@makingmyway10 I would order one of the Freddie's ones and you can always cancel straight away before the next order comes. You can sometimes find codes online for your first one free. They are definitely superior to the bloom and wild. I've had 3 from bloom and wild and two from Freddie's.

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 07/05/2020 13:43

My sister bought some for my mums birthday and they arrived completely dead

Mine always LOOK dead when they arrive... a few days later....WOW! My last lot looked fantastic for three weeks! (I did keep changing the water).

I send them to friends a lot and they are always impressed with how long they last.....

milienhaus · 07/05/2020 13:45

I’ve sent them to a lot of people and they’ve always looked good! Sounds like some people have got unlucky though.

BusterTheBulldog · 07/05/2020 13:53

I just b&w often (including for myself Blush) and have always been fab!

makingmyway10 · 07/05/2020 15:06

Thank you, I am going to order a letterbox bouquet from Bloom and Wild and see how they are before committing to a subscription. Thank you for all the advice Smile

@makingmyway10

Just be aware that they do look dead when they arrive. Use the flower food they send (you get one for the first of vase of water and another for when you change the water) and wait a couple of days. I’ve never been disappointed.

megletthesecond · 07/05/2020 16:01

I had some as a gift last week. They look sparse for the first 24hrs then they start to perk up.

JustAPassingFashion · 09/06/2020 08:44

@makingmyway10 if you haven't ordered yet you're welcome to use this link for £10 off Smile

Or anyone else who fancies a treat!

I've ordered B&W postbox flowers several times recently and the flowers were great. All recipients were thrilled with them.

Lordfrontpaw · 11/06/2020 17:03

I bought a 'season' for someone and she had another bunch this week. They look pretty when first opened up and really open up beautifully and last a while. She is massively happy.
