What sort of oven gloves do you have ?

Sorry to be so dull
I don't want to buy something only to find that I can't carry large dishes out of oven etc!
I want something that the kids can use too as they like cooking, I have burnt hole through the last two pairs which were fabric, are the silicone ones any good? How do those round ones work? What about the sort of punchy ones? Can't see how they work?
Any recommendations?

Ah, I'm a bit obsessed with oven gloves. They infuriate me. Best I've tried were the cream Lakeland ones mentioned upthread. But they are purely functional, and don't look great hanging in the kitchen. I had some cool looking black silicone ones from ASDA which were brilliant, until I had to wash them. Then the silicone mitt section part didn't really dry inside, and they smelt manky. And felt damp. Urgh. I've had beautifully colour coordinated Next oven gloves that were totally not fit for purpose, and let heat through. I've found most supermarket/high street oven gloves fall into that category, unfortunately. And I've had some cheapy Amazon ones that looked like the Lakeland ones but had holes in - massively dangerous. They got chucked. For me, they need to: 1. Look good (i.e. Be available in a range of colours). 2. Work well (I.e. Be fully heat resistant. ) 3. Able to wash easily in washing machine. (Mine always end up covered in food then look filthy if I can't wash them properly) Never found anything that meets all those criteria. I'm fussy, I know! But come on, it can't be rocket science for a manufacturer to come up with something that works. Anyone know what is generally used in the catering trade? Maybe that would work?

Masterclass oven loves are fantastic.
Silicone outer layer , lined inside and gauntlet style. I have tried loads of different ones and to date these are by far the best.
