I periodically tidy mine but always wonder ,if I didn't have it would I be tidier?
My excuse is that dh is usually asleep when I get undressed(he has early mornings) so don't want to start shutting cupboards and drawers .

Do You live without one??

Pannacotta we have done something similar dp and I still have a wardrobe each in bedroom but dd clothes and our other clothes and all shoes as well as ironing go in our third room. For the ironing I have a chest with a box for each of us so as stuff comes out of the tumble dryer or off the line it goes in the right box so if we are behind with ironing finding clothes is easier.

geekgrrl · 28/04/2007 20:12

surely that's what home exercise equipment is for?
our exercise bike has certainly not been used for anything else for years.

pointydog · 28/04/2007 21:50

geek

fuzzywuzzy · 28/04/2007 21:53

I don't....we improvise with the dressing table instead, yes my pile of clothes need that much space...

funnypeculiar · 28/04/2007 21:54

no chair ... but end of bed/top of chest of drawers (& floor) work just as well, ime

I have an excersise bike for that!!

PippiLangstrump · 28/04/2007 22:05

we used to and could never ever see any bits of the chasir was so covered.
it has been moved now and it's better, although sometimes the floor replaces it

expatinscotland · 28/04/2007 22:18

That would imply there was enough room in the dinky bedroom for a chair.

Yeah, right.

ChelseaDagger · 28/04/2007 22:21

I feel odd after reading this. Is it the norm to have a 'bedroom chair'? I don't know anyone that has one. What's wrong with chucking your clothes on the floor and sorting it out in the morning?

Piffle · 28/04/2007 22:22

we don, but we do have a f off massive dressing table that more than does the job!

NotanOtter · 28/04/2007 22:24

we dont - ours go over bannister!

SlightlyMadSuperhero · 28/04/2007 22:24

I have abedroom stool and the floor

NuttyMuffins · 28/04/2007 22:25

I don't have a chair so floor is alwas covered in crap and clothes or even crap clothes LOL.

I would like a chair though, or even a small sofa.

I have a stool although at the moment it seems to have relocated itself to dd2's bedroom for some reason, so my clothes are being dumped on the bed where they fall off in the middle of the night and end up on the floor.

PippiLangstrump · 28/04/2007 22:45

bannister here as well and on top of doors...
oh my where/how do we live????

kittypants · 28/04/2007 22:46

i use the floor,i live in a pig sty though

sparklygirl · 28/04/2007 23:24

I've got a wooden chest that I put mine on.

NannyL · 29/04/2007 10:28

I dont have one!

NannyL · 29/04/2007 10:29

should add my dirty clothes go in the wash basket, and clotehs that are clean enough to wear again (unusual) are folded and draped OVER the wash basket!

Ditzymumofone · 29/04/2007 10:33

Agreed on the exercise bike when we bought it we were warned it would turn it to an expensive clothes horse. All self rightous and full of good intention we swore not but....where has the bike gone!

amess · 29/04/2007 21:22

I am so glad you started this thread ggirl. I thought I was really slobbish little things like this make me wonder how people really live and I'm glad to see that me and my chair are normal, well as normal as you lot

bozza · 29/04/2007 21:24

I tend to use the bed and then move them onto the dressing table stool at bedtime (we don't have a chair) and then back onto bed when I want to dry my hair etc. I try not to be too bad about it and often hang things back in the wardrobe that I will wear again (eg cardigans) but I usually have an outfit on the go for evenings after work (Tues - Thurs) that I leave out. I also use the floor at times. DH uses the floor but in a tidy way.

MrsWho · 29/04/2007 21:50

I have a toybox (no not that sort of toy ) Its dd2s that she didn't need anymore so Iuse it for my ebay stuff!
