Well I'm here just to start this thing off. Not going to do my list yet as I need to sort out the kids for school and get myself ready. Will be back later. Good morning anyway!

floating I just put some of the stuff in a box in the loft, or a cupboard out of sight, and if the dds don't notice/ask for it for a few weeks, I sneak it into the bin

ds is sleeping. I'm not going to mn though (as you can plainly see by the fact that I am not here), I will put away clean clothes and try and sort my bedroom out for 1/2 hour then report back...

Dunnyjo · 18/04/2007 11:15

Hey! What a transformation! Hoovered and put away all toys, washed up and now siting with a nice cuppa before i go to my dads. He is not ill just wanted to help him out as my mother is no longer with us and i know she always did his shirts rofl so the cheeky begger is still having someone do this for him!

Lol i dont mind at all he was iorning an item when needed and watching he pile grow before me was not an option. Shame it does not have the same effect on my own! Gets me out the house though!

Flamesparrow · 18/04/2007 11:16

Feel free to point and laugh at the foolishness of me...

So I can't find my cup, give in and use the other my cup iyswim... stand at window to wash it up and see that the line prop is down.

Go out to investigate and find the wash basket with all the wet nappies still out there waiting for me. I picked in and put away the dry stuff, forgot to put the next lot up ....

Then come in from doing that, put milk in cup, open microwave... and find my cup - full of the milk that I put in last night before CSI

shouldbe · 18/04/2007 11:20

LOL flame that's just the kind of thing I'm always doing

glassslipper · 18/04/2007 11:21

lol @ flamesparrow and aufish saying bye to the flying...

i gave in and did the hoovering upstairs. I feel so virtuaous today! I am going to have another cuppa and watch the rest of this morning before I collect DD1 from pre-school.

It is really working for me to do downstairs on Monday and upstairs on Wednesday. Only thing I have left 2 do is bathrooms (a la FLY) and bedding / towels which I'll do on Friday. And as I have done so much I'll be able to lounge in the sun this afternoon while DD1 plays with her new playhouse

Aufish · 18/04/2007 11:25

I'm watching this morning as well at the moment as I'm curious about the next guy coming up. All I can say is WHY the mind boggles!

glassslipper · 18/04/2007 11:26

aufish -

Aufish · 18/04/2007 11:32

Can I ask why you are shocked, I was just wondering why he's done it, I have brothers and my youngest brother is very confused in his sexuality am curious as I need to understand things from all aspects of life. Its just something that you sometimes hear about but never understand.

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 18/04/2007 11:39

who's on it??

yaddayah · 18/04/2007 11:41

DD was watching "in the Nightgarden" so i don't know what an earth you two are talking about ! Never realised This Morning had interesting things on it !!

bewilderbeast · 18/04/2007 11:41

dry pots put away
washing hung on line
washing on
washing up done
kitchen surfaces cleaned
bathroom s & s

bake (still on list)
put ds's old clothes away (still on list)
put house straight after decorator has gone

started weaning ds last night following the bliss guidelines his face was a picture.

Starting to get very down about going back to work in 3 weeks

Tort am thinking of you and sending positive vibes

glassslipper · 18/04/2007 11:41

yes, of course. the whole interview shocked me. Firstly as they just described the procedure before the interview giving nothing away. It sounded odd compared to the 'traditional' full on changes people go through. Then I was shocked that this guy seemed so together at such a young age. Then I was shocked at the thought of people going underground for such a procedure.

I don't consider myself particularly sheltered but sometimes I'm amazed by the kind of experiences people have to go through and cant possible imagine how you come to terms with some of these things. I have some gay relatives too and they have told me how it was for them coming out in the 60s/70s (ie very difficult) but this story seemed to be on a different scale altogether.

Flamesparrow · 18/04/2007 11:43

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease tell me what you've been watching (gotta go to school in a min!!)

glassslipper · 18/04/2007 11:43

flame - it was a young man who went halfway across the world to have his testicles removed.

sorry, slight digression from housework

Aufish · 18/04/2007 11:46

It was a guy who had been castrated and so I was wondering why he had it done. Its something like I say you hear about in passing but to actually hear a guy talking so openly about having the op done is quite refreshing as you hear so much about trans gender ops but nothing like this. My poor brother is so mixed up about who he is that I try and get as much info for him on different aspects of sexuality as he truly is confused. Not easy as a young man.

OP posts:
yaddayah · 18/04/2007 11:47

embarrassed to admit i was frantically trying to get onto the this morning website !

okayeeee

i assume he had to go half way across the world because they wouldn't do it here ?

(not because he wanted a holiday ?)

Hope he's happy with the result !

Flamesparrow · 18/04/2007 11:48

Aaaaaaaaaah. That sounds interesting! Sorry I missed it

glassslipper · 18/04/2007 11:49

aufish - must be terribly difficult for your btoher. took my uncle about 20 years to come to terms with how he felt....

wow - we have stopped everyone doing their housework

glassslipper · 18/04/2007 11:49

brother even

yaddayah · 18/04/2007 11:50

aufish, what a nice sister you are

Am really hoping now the interview was a "happy ending" one not a horror story !
