Samsung washing machines are they worth the extra money

Think my washer LG is about to die any recommendations. I am tempted by the Samsung add wash as i am always dropping socks on the stairs had Hotpoint in the past not impressed and also zanussi. Washing repair man says go for cheap and cheerful as less can go wrong any recommendations?

I have a Samsung with add wash. It's brilliant. Had another Samsung before and wore it out after 6 years or so (large household), so knew they were reliable.
Things I like :
-The Add Wash is much more useful than I thought it would be. So much quicker than pausing wash, waiting for it to drain/ unlock, restarting etc.

• You can do a regular 30 or 40C wash with fast spin fairly quickly, eg 1hr 20. Some other machines say they have a quick wash, but it'll be a pathetic '30 min at 30C' intended for one pair of knickers and only does 800rpm spin and won't let you increase the spin speed on quick wash, for instance. Then you end up having a main wash taking 3 hrs. The Samsungs are not like that . They let you actually adjust things.
• Bubble Soak is good for getting grime out.

Things I don't like :
-You don't have total freedom to adjust programme settings.

I got mine from Curry's. I have always found them very good value and it's worth a lot to me to be able to get the item when I need it. Never needed installation because that's not difficult.
