Hi....

I have just got back from town... had a walk round, went to the bank, did a bit of food shopping, bought my friend a birthday pressie, put diesel in the car.

Just 20 mins before I have to walk up to get DD1 from school....so will sort dinner out I think.

glassslipper · 16/04/2007 14:30

i've done a bit more. dd2 collected from preschhool. we've both had lunch and dd2 fed and now asleep.

i've cleared the cat litter and put the tray away (we're letting him out at nights now), and cleaned the floor around it as very dusty.

gave dd2 her new abc zoo animals to play with so she is very happy, although half watching in the night garden at the moment.

i've also washed the dustpan and brush and cleaned the kitchen bin as both were yukky.

i've decided that i'm going to do the downstairs of the house on Mondays, upstairs on wednesdays (both when dd is at preschool) and now she is there on fridays too i will do all the bedding/towels etc then and have a bit of a rest.

I plan to keep doing the missions too, although i actually did this one the other day [swot emoticon]

yaddayah · 16/04/2007 14:55

glassslipper that sounds like a good idea !
Can I borrow it ??

I do the mission every other day [no swot emoticon.. just the joys of having a boy !!]

nineunlikely thanks for the reminder re bill payment

Off to pick up ds (hope he's in a better mood than this morning !)

BabiesEverywhere · 16/04/2007 15:53

I have 30 minutes computer time before I start IRONING.

Glad your kitten came home, hope things go smoothly at the vets later on.

I actually have done the mission already, last week

DONE
Wiped over kitchen and bathroom
Hoovered downstairs hall
Tidied and sorted out dining room, made up table etc.
Tidied and hoovered living room twice (at each of DD's naps)
Striped and remade cot.
Striped spare Bed (DO our bed tomorrow)
Two loads of washing on line drying.
One load in washer.

TO DO
Two baskets of ironing

Wish me luck, as I am going to a salacise class later on tonight and I am very unfit. I use to go to the gym 4 times a week before I got pregnant and hence I was starting to get fitter (though still fat) but I only went swimming/ aqua aeorbics whilst I was pregnant and nothing at all in the last 7 months

tortoise · 16/04/2007 16:00

Hello.
Back from town now and still have ds's clothes to put away! I better make that the next job.
Also still need to make flapjacks. Might do that while cooking tea.

Aufish · 16/04/2007 16:07

Hi peeps not long back from school and have put the tea on for the kids as my eldest is going to the local rugby stadium tonight for the first time for his support learning. They have such a fantastic system up here and he will be mentored from now until he leaves High School. Am so pleased for him as only 20 pupils are chosen from YR7 every year and he has been lucky to be chosen. Am absolutely shattered now but like so many others on here have a pile of ironing that needs to be done tonight. No rest for the wicked so the saying goes. I must have been really bad in another life!

glassslipper · 16/04/2007 16:20

following from another thread, i have just tidied my pan cupboard in the kitchen.

And, i've been through 15 pages of an actvity book with DD1 (odd one out, colour bits in, match pairs etc). She is now very happy and watching lazy town.

tortoise · 16/04/2007 16:26

Half hour later i am still sat here! And i started off so well!

I will go do it now, honest!

shouldbe · 16/04/2007 16:32

It's busy here today!

We're just back from our outing and will be getting the cat ready for the vet in a minute - poor thing is really limping now
We didn't make it to the farm cos it turned out it is closed on Mondays so we went to the local Wildlife Park instead and had a great time Shelled out for a season ticket so we'll be going lots from now on

Better go and get the cat into the basket...

shouldbe · 16/04/2007 16:45

I have put a picture of our favourite animal from our outing today on my profile page

And, can I just add that this is the first time I have ever put a picture onto the computer, let alone into a file and then on to a profile page

glassslipper · 16/04/2007 16:49

shouldbe - sounds great! well done with the picture. very sweet

ludaloo · 16/04/2007 16:58

oooooh tort you didn't say you were at the Wildlife Park too!

shouldbe · 16/04/2007 17:34

thanks Luda and glassslipper

poor cat has been badly attacked by another cat and has loads of scratches ...mostly on his back legs so clearly from when the poor thing was trying to run away ! We have to give him tablets and take him back at the end of the week cos the vet is worried about the fact that the worst scratch is on his back knee...

tortoise · 16/04/2007 17:46

shouldbe( Nice to meet you!!
Glad you had a good time. Hope tablets help your poor pussy.(sorry!!)

Washing all put away and boys room tidied!

ludaloo · 16/04/2007 17:59

tort you've done well today (Always think that comes across as a bit patronising when I say well done...but it isn't meant to )

shouldbe hope your cat recovers soon...poor thing!

yaddayah · 16/04/2007 18:12

hmmm
well
yesssss
errrr

Getting all defensive now

Well

Theres errr cherrio's stuck too the tissue paper

Ok Ok my kitchen is a disaster area

BUT

DD has finished her thank you notes !!

Now I just have to find my missing address book and some stamps and I have achieved something today

tortoise · 16/04/2007 18:21

lol Yaddah! One less job to do but one which creates a whole lot more!

BabiesEverywhere · 16/04/2007 18:40

yaddayah LOL, Your kitchen sounds pretty...all glitterly

glitterfairy · 16/04/2007 18:51

SInging away as I have done the mission in two loos! Hurrah shiny happy toilets! I went a little further as well and cleaned the whole of the downstairs sink and soap dish and also the cupbaord under the stairs which was disgusting but ds did a lot of it.

Tea is cooked and I am going to sit down and enjoy knowing my loos are clean.

Jelley · 16/04/2007 20:28

shouldbe I love the pic

yaddah having fun is definitely more important than having a glitter-free kitchen.

I'm finally starting to feel human again
Hopefully I will get a bit more done tomorrow.

tortoise · 16/04/2007 20:37

I am amazed at myself!
I got DD's to bed then came down and made DD's lunch box for tomorrow, cleaned work top and unloaded then re loaded DW and made flapjacks!

glassslipper · 16/04/2007 20:40

eek

do you think i might have an extra load of washing or two tomorrow?

Jelley · 16/04/2007 20:41

I was going to suggest you try and sneak a care mat thing under her when she was asleep if yu can

glassslipper · 16/04/2007 20:43

i turned her mattress over to the waterproof side (hope she doesnt sweat too much in this heat) and put a towel under the sheet. hope that will be enough.

dont have any care mats as this has come out of the blue

Jelley · 16/04/2007 20:43

And a big round of applause for tortoise.
