glitterfairy · 16/04/2007 10:19

tort I really hope it goes well. I am sure being nervous is natural and will be thinking of oyu on Wednesday. I am waiting to here when my next date is.

shouldbe · 16/04/2007 10:23

The vets here in our village closed for morning surgery at 9.30 so I'd just missed the vet there - could have an earlier appt if I could get across to their other rural surgery 11 miles away but I can't do that this morning so will wait till 4.45...I think he's been in a fight too Luda, we had the same problem last week (on a slightly lesser scale though). He's very tired so I expect sleep will be good for him, poor little creature, he's feeling very sorry for himself

shouldbe · 16/04/2007 10:24

Friends nearly 30mins later than expected so kids are driving me mad with their excitment while I'm trying to make the most of the time and get more washing sorted etc!

bewilderbeast · 16/04/2007 10:24

decorators here but now there is much sucking of teeth and ooo Mrs we can't possibly do all this and we'll have to come back another day. I have spent my entire maternity leave waiting for some f-ing tradesman or another I am fed up why can they not just come the day they say they will at the time they say they will and actually do the friggin job

yaddayah · 16/04/2007 10:27

ludaloo · 16/04/2007 10:31

bb Oh poor you!! It must be a mare! I would turn into super stressed hormonal mum from hell and demand they do something NOW!!!!!....I hope something gets done soon {{HUGS}}

tort (I didn't have a very big pile actually...but I still put it off all day yesterday!), I make the bed, so it is all clear and flat, then make seperate piles of everyone's clothes, so they can go straight into the right drawers etc. Its very quick.

Good luck for Wednesday

shouldbe · 16/04/2007 10:33

Bewilder I've been there with tradesmen so you have my sympathy (they're not all like that though - dh is in the building trade and never lets anyone down - much to my annoyance sometimes when we have family stuff planned!)
Yadda we still haven't even planted our seeds - will we be too late do you think?

yaddayah · 16/04/2007 10:39

shouldbe nooo not too late ! ours are only a week old, if its warm where you are you can stick 3 seeds in a pot of compost straight outside.. try to get a sheltered spot they should be fine ! When they grow pick out the two weaker ones (the sappy side of me never likes to do this .. god i'm such an old hippy !!)

Whoops just realised i haven't moved away from the computer screen

boots self up the bum

back later !

glitterfairy · 16/04/2007 10:42

LOL yadda I have now hung out some washing and washed up.Anything to keep me from having to clean behind the loos. I need a boot!

Mhamai · 16/04/2007 10:53

glassslipper · 16/04/2007 11:18

hi everyone

shouldbe i hope your cat is ok...

i've done lots as dd1 is at preschool.

I';ve hoovered and mopped all of downstairs. cleaned the downstairs loo,
decluttered the hall (taking all winter coats, hats, scarves etc away),
i've given the kitchen a once over,
wiped down the dining room table, chairs, window sills etc.
also wiped down the living room window sills, coffee tables, tv etc,

tortoise · 16/04/2007 11:18

Wow! Great one Glassslipper. Well done.
Hope DD1 enjoys pre-school.

tortoise · 16/04/2007 11:31

Just thought i would show you this . Was linked on a thread yesterday and looks great. Scroll down to spellings checker and you can input the weeks spellings and it will test your child. I will be using it with DS's.

We have paired up around 35 pairs of socks. Still a few odd ones but they may still turn up. Suppose i better put some clothes away now!

grouchyoscar · 16/04/2007 11:56

Thanks for that link Tort, have added it to DS' favourites

Hello ALL

I've been busy this weekend. I put all the clothes in the wardrobe/drawers which took all Saturday afternoon and we went to visit my DGPS on Sunday, Oh and there's been a couple of barbques

This morning I've done the ironing in the yard so I could keep an eye on DS who wants to play out.

Hope everyone is well and all los are fine

Jelley · 16/04/2007 12:12

Thanks for the link tortoise

I just did a big long post with a list, then deleted it by mistake.
I'm not going to do it all again, but i will say I made dd1s bed, and thankyou for the reminders. (I came back earlier, saw them and wouldn't let myself post until it was done)

Aufish · 16/04/2007 12:24

Hi All back again, feeling abit exhausted but the house is looking more like it should do. This place is so quiet without the children all arguing! It's lovely though!

My done list

Kids all in school
washing up and drying up
Kitchen all tidied and clean
3 loads of washing done and another lot in washing machine
Swept up, hoovered up and floors all mopped
General tidy of all rooms

Best thing about this list is that all the rooms will stay like this until the kids get home from school. Hurray!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
tortoise · 16/04/2007 12:34

bewilderbeast · 16/04/2007 12:55

bread maker on

ds asleep across both knees so all I can do now is mumsnet ......oh the hardship!!!!

NineUnlikelyTales · 16/04/2007 13:36

Hi everyone

LOL bewilderbeast my DS is also asleep, in the sling - life is so hard

I hope you're all well. I hope your kitten comes home Shouldbe, it's horrible when they go out visiting isn't it? Jelley I would be delighted to have all the rooms Kelly thinks I have (funnily enough she doesn't seem to have a zone for the outside toilet, so I count that as bathroom #2. I'm posh, me)

Well DH is back at work again and we are back from Lincoln, so it's back to normal in the Unlikely household..

Done so far
Ring council re: collecting garden waste (spent 3 hours clearing ivy and pruning stuff in the garden yesterday)
Go to market for veg and fruit
Spend birthday gift vouchers on new skirt and top
Collect Bounty pack from Boots (total waste of time and effort)

Still to do
Pay bills
Buy butter, milk and bread
Make beds
Clear disaster area that is the sitting room
Tidy kitchen

The washer dryer is broken again so at least I'm off laundry duties for a day or so, looking on the bright side!

Take care
nut
