He is bl**dy irritating though. Even in his new saintly role.

More annoyingly his recipes always work - unlike others I have cursed my way through.

Probably makes a fortune on all these branded products.

Busy2busy - nah I like Delia, old, unthreatening, speaks correctly and you don't want to smack her with pans on sight.

busy2busy · 03/04/2007 23:04

Oh but I do want to smack Delia. She always seems like a schoolteacher with her prim ways (even though I know she isn't) her recipes work but I cannot bare her programmes.

I bought a big frying pan and a griddle pan from Lidl.

The Lidls ones are fab. The Tefal ones with the red spot are crap. Maybe because DH did stuff with a fork. I dunno,.

ASDA extra special anodisec pans - 3 for about 30 quid - brilliant. Really. Do it

lol at 'did stuff with a fork'...................

Haven't read the full thread, so apologies if anyone has already mentioned them, but we have Meyer pans. They are all metal and have a 20 year guarantee. They don't seem to stick (although for really sticky things I use a non-stick frying pan) and clean up really brilliantly in the dishwasher. Would really recommend them.

Hi, sorry for the delay, no, my pans are not the ones with the red spot, they are Tefal. As far as the pans and the frying pan are concerned, like I said they are fab and they have had alot of stuff burnt on them! and they still look brand new. They also come with a life time guarantee which is also a bonus, but to be honest I don't think we will need them unless something serious happens!

ICM Le Pentole are THE BEST.

Indestructible, dishwasher proof, non-stick, suitable for all cooker tops and make brilliant food.

Wildly expensive though if you get someone to bring them back from Italy they are about 40% cheaper.
