I am in the process of moving and dp and i are debating borrowing the most hideous amount of money - basically over 5 or 6 times earnings.

Anyone care to share ( feel free to name change!!) what horrors they owe?

Go on - make me feel better!

i bet there are lots of people who have never heard of pinner!

expatinscotland · 14/01/2007 23:48

Just me then .

No, I don't know where Pinner is.

I haven't known for 35 years. So it's not going to do me much more if I never find out.

hunkermunker · 14/01/2007 23:49

Pinner

Just down the road from me...

NotAnOtter · 14/01/2007 23:49

NotAnOtter · 14/01/2007 23:50

want to know what your mortgage is now hunker!

OP posts:
hunkermunker · 14/01/2007 23:51

PMSL! My mortgage wouldn't buy that oofing living room

expatinscotland · 14/01/2007 23:51

that house is a rip-off.

controlfreaky2 · 14/01/2007 23:52

the house itself is pretty.... the inside .... so much money so little taste!

hunkermunker · 14/01/2007 23:52

25 minutes or so into central London - that's why.

PrincessPeaHead · 14/01/2007 23:53

but I bet your living room is a lot nicer than that living room

repeat after me, girls.... money doesn't buy taste

maisym · 14/01/2007 23:53

need to know the price of land in that area and then we'd see how much is the price for the bricks etc of the house.

hunkermunker · 14/01/2007 23:54

My living room includes an Artex festival, so no, PPH, it's not! But I didn't put it up and I loathe it, so...we're moving, soon, I hope!

expatinscotland · 14/01/2007 23:55

The Queen has better taste than whoever decorated that living room.

And that's saying much.

PrincessPeaHead · 14/01/2007 23:55

Ahhhh, artex.
Hmmmm
Maybe I'd prefer the electric blue carpet and white leather DFS three piece suite after all

controlfreaky2 · 14/01/2007 23:57

oooh, do you think it's leather?

hunkermunker · 14/01/2007 23:57

AND our sofa's from DFS

Keep talking, PPH...

expatinscotland · 14/01/2007 23:57

Ours has Artex, too! It took me a while to figure out what that was, and even longer to try to understand why someone would pay for a plasterer to do that to a surface.

But this is a rental.

NotAnOtter · 14/01/2007 23:58

those sofas

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 14/01/2007 23:58

Our sofa is from Bernardo's. All the furniture is from charity shops.

Reduce, reuse, recyle!

hunkermunker · 14/01/2007 23:59

Ours isn't a rental, but we haven't the spare £1500 it would cost to get rid of it on the ceiling, the arch and our bedroom ceiling.

It does look like a poorly-iced Christmas cake though. We'll be pointing out the floor to any prospective purchasers a lot, I think

PrincessPeaHead · 15/01/2007 00:00

ha ha ha hunker sorry!!! PLEASE tell me it isn't white leather....

think I'll go to bed now . sweet dreams

jampots · 15/01/2007 00:01

this is where we're hoping to move to not sure about the lounge though
