I did cheat a little bit )please don't tell her where I live...) and the next couple of steps seem to involve post-it notes. Does that really work?

EllieHsMum · 17/12/2006 20:20

Hi Scooter Girl. I Love these threads. I even recommended to by friend who's now on mat leave.

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 17/12/2006 20:20

Scootergirl · 17/12/2006 20:23

So you don't fail if you don't do exactly what she says? And what if you throw out 26 or 28 items during the boogie thing? Are there spies everywhere...?

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 17/12/2006 20:24

Lol Ive not doen a fling boogie thing either!
I'm a failure!

My routine went out the window over the last few weeks, what with being ill and other things. I just try and do the missions when I can and feel up to it. Mt problem is that I over do it when I really in the mood for getting on with house work, which then sets be back a few days to get over it.

I hope to get the routine going again after Xmas. maybe we have the same one tort, we can give each other a kick up the bum when we don't do things when we are suppose too!

Scootergirl · 17/12/2006 20:25

Maybe one day, when I'm not such a Fly virgin, we should put on some music and throw away 29 items each. Rock and roll!

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 17/12/2006 20:28

My DC would move the post its!!!

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 17/12/2006 20:29

Thats a good idea HN. I might be putting DD2 in pre-school one morning a week soon with DD1 so that i can have free morning to get on with things on my own. It will cost me about £6 a week though as she won't get free sessions until September!

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 17/12/2006 20:29

Tortoise just sings along with the Xmas songs

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 17/12/2006 20:32

I know what you mean about pre school cost tort. I got them paid for when DS2 was going and xp2 was working, but once he left and I went on to benefits I had to pay!! DD should be ok to start after Easter

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 17/12/2006 20:36

i love xmas songs!

They take them here from 2 and a half as long as they are out of nappies in the day time.

HazelnutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 17/12/2006 21:01

Same here tort. Only times DD has a nappy on now a days are at night and when we have to go out and I not sure if she will make it to the toilets.

I wont say what I do when the Xmas songs are playing here.

They might come and take me away

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 17/12/2006 21:04

Thats good HN with your DD only just being 2. My DD's were both quick during the day and DD1 dry at night within a week of daytime.DD2 90% of the time stays dry!

My head seems ok at the moment. Think i will leave present wrapping unti tomorrow night now though. Or should i do it?? Oh i don't know. I should do it while i can really incase anyones ill before xmas and i don't get a chance before xmas eve!

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 17/12/2006 21:54

Feeling a little now. My Dad just sent me a text.He doesn't send them that often.its normally Mum i text. Feel and missing them. 2nd xmas without them living in the UK.
Also he said his Dad (pop-pop to me) is in A and E. He has had a lot of falls and illness recently. He will know more from his Sister tomorrow.
I'm feeling so alone here.

Hello to all esp the newbies.

Sorry to hear that you're sad tort. I remember you saying that your family live abroad. It's hard sometimes both for the people who have emigrated and for those left in their native country, I'm sure.

Thanks all for your understanding about the cheque. Dh says that their financial year runs with the calendar year, not until the end of March as I'd supposed. I know enough about financial matters to know that it has to arrive when it does in the current financial year so I'll just have to get used to it.

I have written some cards. I've started with those that I've received first of all. I'm putting letters in with most of them as I live away from family and friends from childhood so it's an opportunity to keep in touch.

Off to do some more stuff before bed. Good night all.
